    4yrs/29 million for Calderon
Cubes starting to give players that Dampier treatment. Splitter's probably kicking himself. Could have gotten at least 12M per out if the Mavs.

For Spurs, it's better to have Howard going to Rockets than to Lakers because it removes a team with cap space.

Right now these are the team with more than the MLE in cap sapce:
Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Milwaukee, Orlando, Philadelphia and Sacramento.

I really hope Spurs will pick the cap space + room exception option. I feel it's now a buyers market.
With Milwaukee opting to sign Mayo (and loaded with other SFs/Stretch Forwards - Mbah a Moute, Ilyasova, Daniels), Orlando, Philadelphia, Sacramento (and even Detroit) in rebuilding mode; Dallas already having Marion & Carter; Cleveland drafting Bennett already..

I think Atlanta is the only contender with the Spurs for Kirilenko if we consider that only cap space having teams are going to contend for him. IMO.

Joseph has shown nothing but a great work ethic and willingness to improve during his time here.

I think he has a very solid season next year as Tony's backup.
    He just needs minutes.

One Dampier down for Cubes. I'm thinking Bynum is in line for the next handout.

Blew up a championship team for the salary flexibility to grossly overpay Jose Calderon, with more to come. Priceless.

And now he's going to sell Dirk on being able to bring LeBron or Melo over next offseason.

If I were Dirk, I'd demand a trade to a competent organization like the Bobcats tbh.

Yeah, for all the praise that Cuban gets, he's horribly mismanaged the Mavericks after the '11 championship. Spurs fans about the Spurs all the time, but holy cow the Spurs have never been that horrible.

    That Calderon deal . . . damn.

Spurs fans upset at Splitter's deal need to chew on that awhile. Splitter was a big man in a league desperate for quality bigs, and received a market deal.

Calderon will be a 32 year old slow no-defense player in a league that's flush with point guards. Paying him that much now is murdering the rest of Dirk's career. And it's sad.

Dwight welching on Houston to come back to the Lakers would be priceless tbh.

If he thought last season was bad, he's in for a rude awakening with the next 4yrs as Kobe's personal shoeshine boy.

It shouldn't be a surprise about Howard though. He did the exact same thing to the Magic before they traded him. The guy is an attention , diva, drama queen.
