Asik is one of the most underrated Bigman in the league right now. That said, the spurs don't need him.

We badly need a small ball PF. With Millsap out of the question, AK47 is a must.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Rockets aren't looking to trade one of the best defensive bigs in the NBA to their greatest challenger for the SW Division le next year when they just acquired one of the game's most athletic but offensively limited centers.

In other words trading Asik to SA defeats the whole purpose of luring Howard to the Rockets, especially when the Spurs already have the personnel to keep Howard contained tbh.
