Kobe: You're ringless. I'll teach you how to lead a franchise.

Dwight: “In my personal opinion, I’m a winner. I’m a winner because I’ve been playing for nine years when the average career for an NBA player is three years. I’m a winner because I made it to the NBA from a small school in Atlanta, GA, with 16 people in a class. I’m a winner because I’m succeeding in life. I’ve had problems and I’m not better than the next man, but I’m going to push myself to be a winner when it comes to winning a championship,” Howard told Kennedy.

Rocket Fan: is that the type of response you want your big dog to come up with? This guy is a clownPERIOD.

I have no horse in this race so idontgivea , but what did you expect him to say??

Kirby is the joke here. He is the reason the Lakers are a sinking ship. If you really are a Lkrfan, you wouldn't pick sides with bryant. He has sabotaged that team from the minute he slipped on the uniform for personal glory.

Not siding with Kobe, but he was right and he dropped truth bombs. You don't improve at anything unless you challenge yourself. That's what Kobe was doing to Howard. Kobe was forced to play on a championship level and was no doubt challenged by PJ from the jump. PJ knew that in order for Kobe to get to that next level, Kobe and Shaq both needed to change for the better in order to rang. They listened then went on to 3-peat.

No doubt some of that Zen is in Kobe and he would like to challenge Howard the same way PJ did to him with brutal truths. What's so different with Kobe doing the same with Howard? When PJ did it, Kobe didn't run for the hills. Coward did because they are not cut from the same cloth. The Rockets soon will see this when he runs into some adversity.

Yacht has the potential to be another legend of this site, too bad he got banned before his talents get fully exploited. On him I kind of see the epitome of the old myself when I first came to this site. Dude has abundant trolling talents and would develop into something special given the right guidance tbh. Hope he will register another account and come back.

Bryant rang thrice because Shaq was that dominant. Then he rang twice because the Lakers sported the best frontline. Anyway, that's neither here nor there. Truth is Bryant is that abrasive that no one wants to play with him...challenge or not. Also, @ Bryant being zen. Throwing teammates under the bus or barking at coaches and teammates doesn't make him zen. It just makes him unbearable and obnoxious.

Lakers would have been better off getting rid of Bryant and keeping Brown. At the very least, Howard would still be a Laker and the Lakers would be better off.

Kyrie and Paul George will be restricted FAs. Forget about those guys.

Melo and his wife will be happy to go to LA after they get run out of NY when the Knicks come up short again.
Irving's contract won't even by up then. He was the in class after George's.

    - are you trolling? PJ was not abrasive? PJ was the king of throwing his players, fellow coaches, and especially the refs under the bus through the media to get what he wanted. Did you read either of his books? I heard they were truthbomb-laced doozies. In the end, XI is all that mattered. The end justified the means. Kobe is no different.

-100 points for the last bolded part.

it was a stupid take from him, if he had to lead a franchise with no help and prove that he is the real deal, then he had to do that in orlando.

I'm not sure why people are ing about Kobe running Shaq out of town. Yeah they should have competed for more rings, but the reality was Snaq was getting more and more lazy as time went on and keeping him would have been a horrible mistake. It still blows my mind that Shaq convinced Payton and Malone to sign for reduced money and then he had the nerve to turn around and about not getting paid. lol

Shaq was lazy, Dwight was a spoiled , PJ is smug, and Kobe is a . I think that's a good summary of the LAL soap opera.

ITs just amazing to me that the Kobe saga never ends. Whether its randomly throwing Smush Parker under the bus, inventing stories about playing T-Mac in Germany or telling Dwight "I can teach you..", the dude never stops producing stories that make him look like a total -bag.

da, glad you're here in person. My deepest apologies to you, da, for my inexcusable and gross behavior toward you the other day. You did not deserve that. You've always treated me with fairness and kindness and I've always appreciated that and should have told you that before it took this to bring it forth.

The only question is "who will Kobe feud with next?" How will Kobe react to the Lakers (and him) becoming irrelevant? Will he demand to be traded (again)? Will he start a feud with a former teammate (a la Parker), a current teammate (a la Shaq/Dwight), the Coach (probably), the new commissioner?

That he was still and did not insist on a s&t is indicative. He'll soldier.

If Kobe bought Dwight a $4 million ring and got his name tattooed on his arm you think D12 would have had a change of heart and stayed with the Lakers?

Please. I still can't believe Duncan missed two layups.
