They both are possibilities I suppose. I know the first one is, but I'm not sure we'd have the cap space to sign Neal now after signing Pendergraph.

what would we get out of it? I am thinking cap space (so we can sign AK47), maybe a draft pick or two, or even another player.

There's really no way to answer that question. All of the above, none of the above, something in between.

good point.....with RC and Pop, we are all grasping at straws not even the slightest of clues as to which direction they will maneuver

I was pretty impressed with what the Pistons have done since the Rip Hamilton debacle, but now they give Josh Smith 56 mil? hmmphf
I don't know man, Dummars has been off his rocker for some time now. They've drafted decently in recent years, but he also held on to Stuckey for way too long just for the sake of being stubborn. Also, Charlie Viilanueva and Ben Gordon...

Not sure how this signing is going to work out for them. Most concerned about it disrupting the promising young big an tandem.

Yeah, they gave up a pick to move Gordan, which is pointless since they already had tons of cap space this season anyway.

Good call on that one. I'm not too upset about Splitter.

No kidding. People who call Splitter overpaid should look no further.

He's overpaid, the fact that there's worse contracts doesn't make it any better. There's a ton of bad contracts in the league...

If there are that many bad contracts in the league, they raise the level for all contracts. So, paradoxically, resulting bad contracts aren't that bad. Imagine how bad they would be without artificial market restraints.

Of course it does. If we're to have any sort of rational discussion about "good deals" and "bad deals" there has to be some common frame of reference. These deals can't be evaluated in a vacuum (or a bubble, as someone often says). They have to be compared to some sort of standard. That standard could be contracts received by similar players. It could be the reasonable assets that a team could have acquired if they had not signed a particular player. It could be the player's economic value to the team. I'm sure there are others, but there must be an agreed upon standard of some sort.

I haven't heard of any news regarding Brandon Jennings so far this off season.

Well I'm kinda surprised that Dallas went with an older player like Calderón while there's still Teague and Jennings out there .

Jose Calderon is a very under-rated PG. He'll be solid for Dallas.

Teague and Jennings are both restricted free agents.
