They aren't downplayed. He just wasn't the Horse that pushed the cart. He was very intergal. He was #2, but he was a beast
I dunno, when "#1" goes 6-24 in the closeout, you have to question whether he really was the alpha.

Pau is a skilled big man and one of the best #2's of the past 5 years tbh. Maybe Wade in 2012, or KG in 2008 have a stronger case, but KG was reall a 1A. We dont win 2 without him, but he is underrated on LG by many. But overrated sy some there and here. And as great as he was in 2008-2010 He was pretty weak for us ever since.
Pau has been the whipping boy of the Lakers for about three years now. He should get a statue for that alone
