Not sure if you saw many Mavs games last year but he was pretty awful tbh. At least defensively. A lot of Mavs fans were cursing his name by midseason. I don't think anybody else really wanted him tbh. This was likely his only offer or one of only a couple.

Kaman's defense has actually been decent as of late, tbh..he's average, he doesn't hurt defensively..
The problem with Kaman is that he kills your team offense for whatever reason, tbh..he puts up decent individual numbers, but his offensive team metrics are pretty bad, partly due to over-usage though, to be fair..
Kaman as a bench big is pretty good, tbh..as a starter, he sucks..

I liked kaman is his Clipper days tbh. Was a big fan of his game back then and wanted him on the spurs for awhile. Even last year he showed solid individual offense but his defense and rebounding really fell off a cliff
