How the does this broken down piece of get millions? Any GM that actually gets this guy on their team after the Lakers should be fired immediately
The Cleveland Cavaliers are pushing for free-agent center Andrew Bynum to accept a two-year, $24 million-plus, incentive-based contract offer, league sources told Yahoo! Sports on Monday night.
The Cavaliers met with Bynum in Cleveland on Monday, but could fast lose patience with waiting on the two-time NBA champion center to make a decision on accepting the offer, which includes a team option in the second year of the deal, sources said.

Cavs
wanting a team option so they can save up for Lebron
thinking they will get Lebron with the ty team that they have
thinking Dan Gilbert will outsmart Pat Riley
fans thinking they were elite in 2009 and 2010 when they really weren't
best player a pg
Cavs
Thinking LeBron is coming back
Fooled by the Kang's entourage
2nd year team option is reasonable. If he sits his fat ass out another year he will not get paid the year after, at least won't get paid 10+ million. If he comes back a beast he is definitely worth more than 12m a year, so I believe something like a one-year, 15m contract would be a more attractive offer to Baby Drew.
Yeah. Dude sat out all year and he's about to make $12 mil. Sickening.
The thing with Bynum's situation is as long as he plays at least 40 games, most GM's will always pay him because of his potential![]()
In today's big market, if you are a seven footer and played a few good games, good knees are just a bonus in contract negotiations.
yes that's true, it's a player-oriented market where quality bigs are rare resources, but if he blows another full season then I don't see any GM willing to pay big money for someone who hasn't played a game for 2 years. Even the 7'6 POS played some 24-min games at the start of the 10-11 season. I'd rather take the gamble on Oden rather than Bynum if the latter misses two seasons in a row tbh
I hope Bynum blows out his knees for good. And I agree with Oden, he's due for one healthy season, just in time for that long term contract before his knees completely craps out![]()
Oden with a full healthy season?

Yeeeeeeeeeeee
Imagine if Bynum plays healthy tho, Cavs could be a real threat in the East with the best big man, tbh.
Bynum
Thompson
Bennett
Waiters
Irving
A nice, young squad. Bynum can rape the post and Irving will be crossing z all night, Bennett becomes a solid player and in 1-3 years they'll be a pretty strong playoff team in the East (by strong I mean a 5-6 seed, tbh).
J. Jack off the bench as well.
better buy insurance if im cleveland
Seriously though, if this is true... this is a HORRIBLE deal. He probably deserves a 3-4m a year deal, but I thought someone might offer him 7 or so. Breaking double digits for 2 years is absurd.
Lebron could actually hop on the Clipper bandwagon come 2014.
He'll have Doc riding ship and if they have cap room, look out.
Clipper Dynasty.![]()
^Riley will never make it possible that James would want to leave there. This is Riley's life long dream come true. He ain't lettin' it go.
i still don't see it as a play off team even with a bynum at full power.
I wonder how long it takes until his knees explode, forcing him to miss another season.
i don't think there is any coach in the league, other then thibs and anthony, that would play him more than 20minutes per game, so he should have half the paycheck just for that..
This is astonishing. Do you have to finish middle school to be a GM?
Dallas gonna get snubbed again? No one wants to go to that ty city.
