Makes sense. It's not like the Lakers have any money to spend on any actually good players, and they really have no assets to make a trade unless they deal Pau. It's not like they have many options. He fits D'antoni's offense better than Dwight obviously and has a comfort level with Kobe and Pau. Still not a move that should do anything significant to help the Lakers except for the fact that if it's not Odom, then it probably would have been an even worse player in the Lakers frontcourt rotation.
