I'd've been more interested a couple of seasons ago. But Turner is on an expensive expiring contract, which is totally not what you want to see in a backup whom you hope to develop. I'd much rather throw what I could at Derrick Williams to play the 3/4 than I would to get Turner to play the 2/3.
I've commented before on how much I'd love Derrick Williams in the system. Very underrated given his role with TWolves.

They've been trying to give him up for anything for three off-seasons now. For some reason, they just don't like him. He's also not a long-term fit given the players they now have.

That's not the case with Turner, as the 76ers traded away Iguadola in part to move Evans to his natural position.

    Expiring deals, Mills/De Colo/Bonner

At this point I believe williams has much more value than Turner. I also would like williams on the spurs, but spurs do not have enough in my opinio to get him. Then again, we are talking about the t wolves

I think he does, too, at least in a vacuum, if only because of him having another year on his deal. But the 76ers haven't given much indication recently about wanting to move him, while the Wolves just tried to move Williams two weeks ago. Turner has a defined role on the team, while Williams had to fight to get playing time even after Love got injured. With the 76ers rebuilidng, I think they'll give Turner every chance to show he can be part of their future. If Minnesota can get a solid vet or two back for Williams, I think Adelman will encourage them to pull the trigger.

Add to that the fact that Williams actually fills an exact area or need (combo-forward) as opposed to playing a role which several candidates to fill it, albeit not as well (swingman), and you can see why I'd rather have Williams. That doesn't make him the easier target to get, but I would definitely make him the priority if I wanted to trade for Leonard's backup. Rather than trade for Turner, I'd rather sign Wes Johnson, anyway.

I like Hansbrough. Solid signing for a team that really needed another big.

After discussing it, Warriors & Cavs will not do a sign-and-trade involving Jarrett Jack & Marreese Speights. Each will sign outright.

There is increasing chatter Bucks will make major push for Jeff Teague.

I'm hearing if Bucks can secure Teague, Jennings will be allowed to walk.

which leads to the belief they'd take a tomato can for Williams.

Would be cool if Bonner + De Colo + future 2nd round pick could do the trick.

I'd pull the trigger on that in a heartbeat but prying Bonner out of Pop's hand is going to be difficult. Bonner might have a no trade clause in his contract.

Milwaukee wants Teague; Atlanta wants Jennings. Surely there can be a deal between those teams...

On the off chance that this isn't a joke, he doesn't. However, he can negotiate on into his contract with the Spurs if they re-sign him next off-season.

Was a joke but I wouldn't put it past Pop to suggest it to Bonner. He's been collecting a paycheck for 14 minutes a game during the regular season with no upside but to take up a roster spot in the playoffs.

The spurs have $57 million in committed salary. Thinking big picture, they will look to add up to $13 million more to take payroll up to $70 million luxury tax limit. Sign and trades would be most likely tool to do so.
