That Lakers team wasn't even stacked, in fact it was one of the worst top-to-bottom teams I've seen from a finals team... if not the worst. They were way worse the 2000-2002 Lakers.
Malone got injured in the finals in game 1, and he was BY FAR the Lakers 3rd best player. It was Kobe + Shaq + HORRIBLE roleplayers. Gary Payton was 35, and couldn't hit a 3 to save his life... which is required from a PG in the triangle. I honestly think Fisher should've gotten more playing time on that team. But yeah, Lakers were playing Medvedenko, Byron Russell, Devean George, Luke Walton, and Kareem Rush in the finals.... let that sink in for a moment.
