Lebron faced a much, MUCH easier and watered down eastern conference . Also in the Finals, 2010 Boston> 2013 TOSB Spurs and 2009 Orlando> 2012 OKC.

Kobe faced a tougher defense in the Finals than Lebron.
Lebron played HORRIBLY in the Finals until Games 6 (partially) and 7

Lebron was left WIDE OPEN the whole Finals series and he shot under 40% I believe for his first 4 or 5 games and was averaging a measily 21 ppg or something, Kawhi locked that down and he still managed to end up being better than Kobe in any of his Finals but 09 (still better if you count clutch, Lebron was more clutch than Kobe had ever been on a Finals stage).

Kobe shot 6-24 in Game 7 of the Finals, it's inexcusable.

anytime the Heat were in trouble Lebron had an amazing game...anytime the Lakers were in trouble Kobe had Gasol carry the team. Is this really a debate?

    6-24

Everytime Lebron and the Heat faced a real adversary in the East, the teams best players are down. Indiana with Granger and Chicago without Rose.

    Lakers opponents in 2009

    Utah Jazz
    Denver Nuggets
    Rockets

    Lakers opponents in 2010

    OKC
    Jazz
    Suns

    Miami's opponents in 2012

Knicks (No Shumpert and Baron Davis)
    Pacers (missed Granger)
Celtics (really old team but still managed to bring the series to 7 games)

    Miami's opponents in 2013

Bucks ( , would not make the playoffs in the west)
    Bulls (No Rose)
Pacers (No granger, one coach vogel decision away from beating the heat)

Kobe was always medicore in the Finals except for 09 (1 out of 7 Finals he actually played like a superstar), his playoff stats look decent overall but then you remember the teams he played en route to Finals in 09 and 10. That Suns team in 2010 was the worst defensive team in the whole playoffs and bottom 5 in defense in the league, he got to pad his ppg quite nicely because Suns played no D.

Kobe out rebounded Garnet, Pierece, and Allen all by himself in that game...he went 6-24 and still lead all scorers...speaks volumes - lol

Come on son, are we talking about that ice jumper made by Lebron in game 7 with under a minute left where the Heat were already up by 4-5 points?

Lebron was carried by hot shooting from Allen, Battier and Wade in the Finals. I blame the Spurs for not locking Lebron up and giving him sample space in Game 7 as the reason why the Spurs lost. Lebron did come up big in Game 7 but truth is, he stunk in the previous 6 games playing worse than Kobe's 2008 Finals.

We're talking defenses, Lebron faced some of the best defenses in the league with Chicago,Indiana and San Antonio, they all gave him fits(even Chicago) and he was taken to 7 games TWICE and came up big. Hit a game-winner (Kobe hasn't hit a go-ahead last second bucket in the playoffs since 07, bricked all 7 attempts) in the Indy series when it counted.

2012 - they played Knicks (medicore D), Indiana and Boston

none of the teams Lebron faced were as bad on defense as the Suns, Kirby is a stat-padder and a choker.

2010 Boston and 2011 Orlando was far better than those team you mentioned. That 08-09 Denver team also was no slouch, ranking 8th in Defensive RTG. 08-09 Houston was a beast defensively, they ranked 4th in Defensive RTG, they were practically winning games that year due to defense.

Lebron faced the Bucks, lets not talk about the Suns defense chief

No Finals MVP in NBA history has shot 44% in at least 5 games in a series like Lebron. Just goes to show he a better choke artist than Kome tbh.

Ray Allen basically saved Lebron from the embarassment in game 6. Let's not act like he carried the Heat in game 6, son.
is this a joke? Lebron got them to the point that Allen was even able to take that shot and for it to mean something. If it wasnt for lebron going ape , they lose by 15+ in that game. instead they win, he dominates the out of game 7 especially in the clutch, and they are back to back champs

    you are a ing idiot

Lebron was statistically better but Kobe didn't need a fluke chain of events to win an elimination game. Kobe had the refs on his side, Heat had the refs against them. Both steamrolled their first finals matchups in their respective repeats.

Both runs had highs and lows, the biggest difference is that the Heat are still running after their 2nd.
Kobe needed injuries to Boston to win game 7.

    Healthy Perkins = Boston Champs

    Kawhi locked that down

if by locked down, you mean he did a great job of getting double and triple team help every time lebron put the ball on the floor, then sure, he did a great job of that

Houston team without Yao Ming taking the Lakers to 7.

Lebron right now is better than kirby has ever been. Also, Lebron has been top dawg while kirby has needed his big men to bail him out. This isn't even a close.
