I unfollowed him. Was just pointless.
Monroe and McCarney >>>> McDonald x 1000 tbh
I unfollowed him. Was just pointless.
Never breaks anything. And it's what he gets PAID to do. Talk about being ty at your job.
his questions always annoy me.
i guess the lack of forthrightness on the part of the reporters is annoying. grow some balls, man. so what if pop gives you the death stare. ask a question and get it out without all the wishy washy hemming and hawing!
That's pretty ironic. You're always bashing people's opinions on here.
He is pretty bad.
I think the reason he is so bad rather than just mediocre or bland is that he puts so much energy into terrible lame attempts to be funny. He tries harder at being a homeless man's Bill Simmons by interjecting un-clever one-liners in his stories than ever asking questions that advance stories.
It's a part of everything he does. His garbage on twitter. And his empty appearances on the express news Spurs podcast, where he was so useless that Monroe contributed more to the show with his incoherent stories of old-time Spurs to close the shows.
His disinterest in actual reporting comes through in his work.
Who?
How bad is he? The worst, and I bet he knows it too!
As a reporter, it's not his job to worry about whether Gino wants to talk about his struggles, or whether Danny Green likes talking about his hot shooting. His job is to get the story and the quotes. Emotional I.Q. should never come into play. Your biggest gripe with the guy is that he's doing his job.
People's gripe isn't that he's doing his job; it's that he is terrible at it.
Jeff McDonald is the Richard Jefferson of sports journalism.
Zach Lowe or Jeff McDonald?
Who do you guys prefer?
Just how bad are you at your job? I hope you have a job where people publicly criticize you for (perceived) poor performance.Just how bad is Jeff McDonald?
His job is not to appease Spurs fanatics. That's what sites like this are for. His job is to provide Spurs-related content for the average San Antonio citizen and Spurs fan, who likely has no idea who people like Jeff Pendergrass, Mickael Gelabale, and Vitor Faverani are.
McDonald is not a multi-million dollar coach or player, he's just a working stiff like you and the rest of us. Cut him some slack.
No. He does not dig a ditch. He does not cook a burger. He does not have to mend a wound. He does not have to clean a butt, and he does not have to put his health or welfare in danger. He gets paid to do what many do for fun. So, he does not get to be called a working stiff.
Just like the players, he is in a job that merits public criticism when he does not perform to the customer's satisfaction. The customer's are the fans. People in this forum are big fans. They actually have a duty to criticize the guy to protect all of the lay fans who do not know any better.
If you knew how poorly journalists are paid, you might reconsider your working stiff criteria. Either way, let's agree to disagree.

I was kidding man
Just curious, if Spurs are still in the hunt for AK (if not it seems odd they havent announced Belli or Pende signings yet), and if the Spurs are also committed to Belli for what seems to be the room exception, doesn't that necessarily mean that the Pendegraphs deal has to be for the vet minimum (2yrs/2m)?
Spurs aren't planning at this point to use the MLE, and even if they do go that route, it's not like they promised Pendegraph a higher salary in the event they do.
lol go to bing type spurs beat writer
