San Antonio Spurs @spurs
Spurs sign Marco Belinelli - j.mp/18Qf2Pd #GoSpursGo
Ok what am I missing here. What's interesting?
You see the way he says ?now? its official??! Clearly a sign they are doing a sign and trade for Hibbert.
Belinelli signed => end of the cap space ability.
Disappointing off-season.
Splitters cap hold is actually lower than his agreed contract, so we have more cap room (if our plan was to use cap, not MLE) if he signs later
Goodbye MLE.
Why?
I Don't know jack about all of this, but why is it not the room exception?
I did not anything in the article suggesting it was otherwise.
No shot for room exception? Or would that have to come after other signings
Or they also sign him with cap space and they keep the room exception for Pendergraph ?
I am thinking CIA again and something non-AK-47 will hit us all out of the blue. Something is going on but my gut says we don't have a clue who.
Shows over folks.. Gary Neal in 3.2.1
great job spurs, ing morons. I swear this FO gets a ton of credit for a couple good moves, and incredible luck. Its like they have an eternal pass when they up.
Yeah, wrong order.
If they were going to sign Belinelli with cap space they'd have had to renounce Blair and Neal. I'd think that we would have heard news on that if it happened.
Welp, that remained interesting for all of eight minutes.
Well, they haven't amnestied Bonner or withdraw the QO offer to Neal so they don't have cap space to sign Belinelli. He was signed with a part of the MLE.
Interesting that the Spurs still signed Manu after Manu said they were doubting on even bringing him back. It's nice to hear Manu realize how bad he's been and hopefully he can work on his game this summer because this is not a good way for him to end his career.

(Popovich) and Buford had told me that they had doubts about what I could give. When he expressed his desire for me to continue, I had no doubts. In the playoffs I felt that was the first time in 11 years of NBA plus 4 in Italy and 3 in Argentina that I produced a little less than I expected and it hurt. I believe I could have helped the team even more, maybe even win another ring. I want to play better in the coming season, better than in the past two years. I think I can.
Just saying, Maybe Manu decided to take less so that the Spurs could sign Belinelli (Finally has an Italian buddy) with cap space and still have the MLE.
I am just curious what the terms actually are. Remember Duncan's contract turned out to be 2 mil less a year than what was initially reported.
They had doubts but signed this liability for 7 million lmfao. Stupid.
Why do they have so many guards on the team now???
ElNono have you translated that yet? That quote as they have it doesn't make much sense.
Cue the meltdown. Try not to laugh at people who insist that because the FO didn't land AK that they didn't try hard enough.
