Oklahoma Woman Who Hid Loaded Gun In Vagina Gets 25 Years

Christie Dawn Harris (pictured right), who harbored a loaded handgun in her vagina when she was arrested earlier this year on drug charges, has now been given a 25-year prison sentence for her crimes, according to The Smoking Gun.

During an Oklahoma, Pontotoc County, District Court hearing, the 28-year-old woman faced three felony counts to which she entered no contest pleas. Harris has a history of multiple felony convictions, but her latest trilogy of offenses include possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, gun possession, and bringing contraband in to jail.
Last March, Harris and another woman, Jennifer Delancey (pictured left), were spotted in the wee hours of the morning, sitting in a parked vehicle outside of a closed restaurant. Both women were reportedly seated in the front of the car with the seats reclined all the way back. When police approached the pair and asked whether the vehicle contained any weapons or drugs, Harris reportedly said that she “did not think there was anything.”
A drug sniffing police K9 dog, however, alerted officers that there were in fact drugs in Harris’ car. When police searched the vehicle and stumbled upon meth, drug paraphernalia, a pistol, and loaded magazine, officers arrested the women and hauled them off to jail.
While being transported to the lockup facility, Harris reportedly kept asking to go to the bathroom. When the women arrived at the jail and went through the routine check-in process, Harris reportedly blurted out that she was on her period.
Eventually, though, the young woman submitted to the bodily check, and when a female officer noticed that Harris had a wooden and metal item sticking out from her vagina, the jig was up.
Upon further inspection, the female officer reportedly tugged at the protruding object and slowly pulled out a 522. caliber handgun with three live rounds in the chamber from Harris’ vagina.
The officer also found 25 grams of meth in Harris’ buttocks.
Harris received a 25-year sentence for each count, which will run concurrently. The young woman must also pay a fine of $1,363 in court costs and fees.
