I can doubt some of his accounts to, but at the end of it all Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman, and Zimmerman said he feared for his life. How would you know he didn't fear for his life?
I don't think there is anyone who thinks Zimmerman's story makes any sense. There are people who are celebrating that a kid was killed because he happens to be black and that's the extent of the people that got their way tonight. They can try to justify the opinion all they want, but what it really comes down to is some people being sick in the head, happy that a black kid got gunned down.

The people cheering that on sickens me, but so do the people that demonized Zimmerman and turned this into a race thing. what the media did to this case. And them for now salivating at the thoughts of riots and ratings.
The only positive thing I can take from this is that the right verdict was chosen based upon the evidence that was available.
Yeah I didn't even realize it was this bad.
Race was the only reason Zimmerman followed Martin. It was the only reason Zimmerman was "afraid."
Never mind the fact that if a black/hispanic guy had wrongfully accosted and then killed a white little boy, he'd be getting the needle right this second. It was always a race thing. The only reason the case was talked about was because some were hoping for jury-declared open season on black males.
We should have been unified in wanting the agitator put away, but no. The kid he killed was black, so it's all fun and games.
Change Martin's skin color to white, would anyone outside of friends and family had given a about his death? Be honest now.
breitbart. you are like right wing boutons.
in a self defense case in FL? uh yeah. you are not paying attention to think otherwise.
The prosecution lawyers aren't dumb, they're actually quite good despite BDLR yelling all the time, and they didn't make any real mistakes. They just didn't have any facts to pin a crime, any crime, on Zimmerman. They had to go emotional. O'Mara called this the bizarro case, and this proves it again; usually the longer the jury is out the better for the client. Not here. There was no way they were going to convict Z this quickly.
The fact of the matter is this: Z's account is probably, basically, what happened. Holes in it? Of course. But never anything, at all, to say that he set out to shoot Martin until the moment that he did. For goodness sake, when the white cop's son (the chief's son I think?) got drunk and left a bar and beat up a black homeless guy Zimmerman went around putting flyers on people's cars about it, including black churches. How many people would do that? Did Sharpton show up for that, LOL. I was glad to see O'Mara hammer the media people at the very end of his Q&A, which quickly ended the session, basically saying "you were fed this BS story and you ran with it."
Man up and answer the question. There is no way in that this case wouldn't have gotten the attention it got if Martin had been white. For the record, I consider myself an apathetic independent that leans libertarian. I also have stated that Zimmerman probably should have been convicted of at least manslaughter.
If this was anything other than white (ish) on black none of us would have ever heard of it.
Did anyone actually think he would be convicted?
I gave it about 3-1 NG over manslaughter. Somebody in the media made the point that when there's a dead body a jury wants to assign responsibility to that, especially when they know who killed him. I thought that made a lot of sense. But when they went late tonight it was obvious they were going to let him walk.
If you do not understand that FL gun and self defense laws have been under then national microscope then you have not been paying attention.
Zimmerman is a piece of but is it really his fault that he took advantage of a ty law? Shouldn't that be the fault of the wonderful elected officials in Florida that gave us Bush 43?
You expected a child to think outside a self imposed pseudo box in order to skirt a question?
Its simple enough, most people would have done exactly what Zimmerman did if he was on the bottom and indeed feared for his life. All one then has to say is the evidence did not illustrate this was the situation Zimmerman found himself in. It's not that difficult.
This was the crux of the charges, period. And also why it was going to be so tough on the prosecution. Some people pretend like they have a hard time with this narrow picture. I do experience frustration with this narrow reading, but that's tough luck when considering the specific charges.
"he took advantage of a ty law"
he formally refused to use SYG defense.
Now, I'm hoping the Martins screw this bag greasebag for the rest of his life with a huge civil suit, and that some top lawyers step up to out lawyer Z's civil defense.

Doubt that. A civil suit against Zim would be a no holds barred affair. Unlike the trial just ended, the defense could bring up all the stealing, drugging, and fighting that Martin was involved in. What is more likely is that the Zimmerman Team will go on a lawsuit enacting frenzy themselves. I imagine NBC will be the first target what with their claim that Zim said "coon" in the 911 call. Yep, George is going to be very well off some day.
"Zim said "coon" in the 911 call."

plenty of animus there
If you want to bring up M's history, which contains nothing about the situation Z's murdering him, then the civil suit could bring up Z's arrest record, his fighting, his record as a bouncer (an inherently violent job), etc, etc, all of which shows Z is -hating, violent, neurotic asshole.
I think I read a couple of weeks ago that Zimmerman has already filed suit against NBC for the tape edit stuff, and that O'Mara is listed as a co-councel, and that the main guy is a friend of his. It seems like O'Mara will be involved in all legal matters with this from here on. Which means we may get to see a Crump vs. O'Mara civil battle. And you thought that this trial was emotion vs. facts....
West said that there were no winners here. Not true, O'Mara is the big winner. He's the new Johnny Cochran. Even if you hate Zimmerman you have to admit that O'Mara is just flat out good. West was good enough as well, but too much of a wild card with an angry streak. O'Mara is brilliant and unflappable.
The media wouldn't care nearly as much, nor would they if this were a black-on-black killing, tbh.....
Hey idiot don't get too happy. Where were the riots? That's what happens when you make bets on fear and bull .
Are you going to follow through or are you going to puss out, which won't be surprising in the least bit to me?
Found the interview. Robert Zimmerman is a smart, articulate guy, and Piers Morgan is piece of .
