Truth is if Trayvon had common sense he would most likely be alive and suing Zimmerman's ass. Common sense tells you not to dress like a thug while walking around a neighborhood at night. Every night I walk or jog around my neighborhood, I always dress in white clothes so people don't freak out. I'm white as but its the reasonable thing to do. Cops still will slow down to check me out, even had to show ID once and explain where I lived. I realize its su ious so I try to not make it look worse than it is by dressing like a thug or asshole.
Of course common sense would tell you not to bring skittles to a gun fight, so sorry if I don't see this case as Rosa Parks:The Next Generation.

What movement? There is a two-term Black President. Blacks are flourishing in America. There are rich black CEO's, Head Coaches, Athletes, Actors and Musicians. There are more black on black crimes than racially motivated ones. Maybe if you stopped acting like things are as they were in slavery times and start realizing the problem is your mindset in addition to blacks killing each other, the real progress can be made.

True. Is it right to be profiled? No, but there are a lot of bad people doing bad things, it's not about race. People should be su ious because they have a lot on the line. People should use common sense too as you mentioned and be self aware of what things may look like.
No bullshi*t, I, DPG just got profiled by a white cop last week. I was in my work clothes, waiting in my car in a parking lot (I had a meeting in this building and was early so I was returning e-mails) and the cop drove by me twice, then stopped next to me the third time. Knocked on my window and said "is there something you are doing just sitting here?" He said he wanted to know why I was sitting in my car in the back of the parking lot. I was in my work clothes. Instead of being a jerk, I just told him the truth and he said that's fine.

The fact blacks are still offing each other more than any other race is on them. It's everywhere. White kids want to be black. Black athletes are revered and making millions in major company endorsements. I don't see your argument.

It's sad because I think a lot of people, myself included, would admit that our justice is pretty racist and can otherwise sympathize with the plight of blacks in America.

Zimmerman was acquitted because he killed Martin alone in the dark where no one could see what went on to lead up to the fight and because FL self defense and gun laws are poorly thought out to say the least. You should have to prove that you acted in self defense not the other way around.

Justice Department mulls if further action possible in Zimmerman case
The Justice Department said on Sunday it is evaluating whether it has enough evidence to support further prosecution of George Zimmerman in federal court in the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin, and whether it can do so after Zimmerman was acquitted in a Florida state court.
"Experienced federal prosecutors will determine whether the evidence reveals a prosecutable violation of any of the limited federal criminal civil rights statutes within our jurisdiction," a Justice Department spokesman said in a statement, "and whether federal prosecution is appropriate in accordance with the department's policy governing successive federal prosecution following a state trial."

Won't happen or SHOULDN'T happen anyway. Last year the DOJ said this didn't appear to be a racially motivated crime. Also, the prosecution during the trial flat out said: "This case is not about race". That being said, who knows what the Community Agitator in Chief will tell Eric Holder what to do.

Only way to change both parties is for those within those parties to call each other out. You should call out Obama for his "my son would look like Trayvon" comment and the board Republicans should call out brietbart.
