Maybe there haven't actually been official offers, only preliminary fact-finding talks.
Well, its just a su ion on my part. I don't know anymore than you know but the point being made is that he's had plenty of time to consider making a choice between two top notch teams. The sooner he can get to work in learning The Spurs system the better IMHO.

I hear ya...I just think a healthy Oden could keep us in the mix with H-town, OKC, LA Clippers etc.
I'd like to see the Spurs sign Oden. He could have a big impact if he's healthy.
Well yes, the sooner he makes a decision the better off he'll be as far as gelling with the team he chooses is concerned. The statement, "Plenty Of Time", is different from Oden's perspective because this could (quite possibly will) determine the rest of career. Which is why the decision of which team he chooses supersedes integration into the team.
The guy has already made 22 million so I'm not inclined to think he's deliberating to negotiate a for what will most likely be a very low contract for NBA standards.
Interesting.... Greg Oden's account was suspended.
Why not take a flier on him? Even though his athletecism is completely shot, he's a big boy and he understand the game. He's not like those raw prospects aka Jackie Butler. Oden was pretty foul-prone in his time in the league. Maybe since he can't leap like he used to he won't be inclined to chase every shot and pick up fouls in chunks.
Spur Addict, I only want this guy to sign with The Spurs. I don't wish to debate with you or any other fan about the accuracy of my opinion. I understand that he will choose the team of his choice but my concern is with his consideration of the team I follow. I understand the factors involved but The Spurs have a mini camp where he could potentially begin to work. I stated that it was IMHO not fact. Again, IMHO the sooner he selects "whatever" team he desires (hopefully its SA) the better. I want to see this franchise stay compe ive in the future. That's all!
It would be either him or Baynes and frankly I liked what I saw from Aron in limited time last season.

Which account did you see suspended? The account (which I questioned the authenticity of) is still active, showing a post from 13 minutes ago.

I like Baynes also!
I was googling so I don't remember, but don't you find it odd that Greg Oden only has 352 followers?
I do, that's why I initially questioned the authenticity of the account when ace posted the tweet.
So all we got left in our cap space is vet minimum?
this guy has a huge upside. the fact he was chosen ahead of durant tells you he was considered better than him at one point. I think pop resting him in random games like he does with the older guys thought the season will really help out for him.
Yea probably got suspended because he tweeting pics again
Actually he'd be the fourth - Glenn Robinson suited up for us back in '05.
don't be surprised if the nets get him.....nets are robbing everybody lol.....
What about the Spurs?
No thank you
Mavs are so ing desperate they've exhausted the B-list players and are now going down the C-list.
Mavs
Dirk staying loyal to an owner who is surrounding him with crap
Cuban not being able to figure out why nobody wants to play for him
Oden is F-list at this point.
