wow
There is so much lying (ya, I said it) in that post that you can't even begin to have a conversation with you.
wow
just stop already. Dude is a perfect example of willful ignorance. You're not gonna convince him of anything even with logical numbers. He'll just play dumb on purpose.
I blame the media. They want to push their narrative that black people are all victims and uneducated people who can't think for themselves eat that up all day.
"Why am I poor and live in the ghetto? Not because my dad is a wannabe thug alcoholic, and my mom's a crack ; but because the White man is holding me down!"
It's ing pathetic how delusional some people can be.
Crappy crime-driven people, communities of color disenfranchised by centuries of systemic racism. Potayto, potahto.
yeah so latinos, asians, irish, italian, indians etc etc were all subjected to the same systemic racism
it's half a century after the civil rights movement. people need to stop making excuses. america needs to drop the race act now on both sides. it's sad and pathetic.
No. There is a reason every race kills themselves extensively more than other races. Whites kill other whites over 80% of the time in murders involving white people.
It's not about that right now. It's about the flawed justice system. Especially against the black community. Justice surely isn't blind and that's why O'Mara selected an all white jury.
How is it flawed? It worked perfectly, exactly how it's supposed to work in this case. No evidence no conviction. See how that works?
X2 ............. its all bull . I knew that a not guilty verdict was coming. Shocker I tell ya!!!!![]()
Both sides had the chance to keep or strike jurors. Each side had 10 peremptory strikes -- 10 opportunities to eliminate potential jurors without having to disclose their reasons -- and an unlimited number of strikes "for cause," for such reasons as bias or hardships.
Look, this is one mans opinion but:
When you claim to be an advocate for equality and a better system but only proclaim your outrage in one racially charged instance you lose credibility. Not only that, but when your entire posting history is one of race baiting and racism, that hurts the integrity of your arguments too.
The overall point is that racism is still around. It's still a big & sensitive issue. However (again this is one mans opinion), racism is no longer the main issue keeping minorities down. Minorities are flourishing more than ever, cultures are being more & more embraced & powerful minority world leaders are accepted and shaping policy. There are other races than African American that have suffered and continue to suffer racism in addition to over coming severe oppression. Why is it that some are doing better than others? Racism is one of many variables in a complex problem but the woe is me at ude is not helping, nor is the severe cherry picking on "human rights" that just so happens to coincide with a particular race that suits you.
Why does it seem that African Americans make the most issue about race? I know others do but they seem to be the one that plays the race card most times. I honestly don't care, you could be blue or even purple for that matter, just as long as your a good person.
preach on, brothas.
hopefully this trial is a tipping point. too long have we cried out against discrimination, oppression, racism and the long term effects of racism and civil rights. when we speak on what's going on in innercities, its us "whining" or playing the race card. if ya'll aren't involved in your communities, get involved. mentor young minorities, volunteer, support black business and arm yourselves.
Teaching them not to suckerpunch people would be a good start.
Every people group that has come to this country has suffered oppression. They've had to organize and agitate for their rights. They've worked their way into the structures of power. They existing power structure never let them in -- they forced their way in. And then life went on.
For every other people group, this outcome was inevitable because of the innate vitality of these peoples and cultures. They always were going to get there eventually -- help from advocates outside those groups just helped them get there faster. But for all of them that train was leaving the station no matter what.
For blacks the narrative just isn't panning out that way. It doesn't look like they're going to get there on their own. They can't pull themselves off the crutch of outside help. Where that help is pulled away they just fall back down into the mire. Almost all the blacks that could forseeably do anything for themselves given a helping hand already have been. The group as a whole can't force its way in like others can. It can't decipher the dominant culture. Up might as well be down. Left might as well be right. All the organizing and agitating just isn't getting them where they want to be. And now other people groups (Hispanics, Southeast Asians, etc.) are starting to build up that momentum and claw into the mainstream like every other immigrant group ever has, and blacks are sucking their wake.
And the black man has an inevitable reality he will let himself go insane before he will ever address. The racists are right about you.
If the state had not sought murder of the 2nd degree, Zimmerman would very likely have faced manslaughter on cir stantial evidence. When prosecution highballs a charge, it backfires very frequently (eg Casey Anthony). You cannot blame the justice system for the severe incompetence of the prosecution - they were, after all, partly responsible for jury selection.
