I believe that you genuinely believe this to be the case.
The problem is in how you seem to define the concepts of being cool and intelligent conversation. You see being cool as someone praising your infinite wisdom. You see intelligent conversation as people thanking you for the knowledge you have bestowed upon them.
There's a reason SBM is one of the few people you get along with here, and it ain't because of all the intelligent conversation he's throwing your way.
