When asked which player he'd like to face in a one-on-one clash, Wiggins went with Kobe Bryant over LeBron James and Kevin Durant, citing a historical comparison as his rationale:

He was right, Kobe is the closest to Jordan. I mean, it's Kobe dedicated his life emulating Jordan, while Lebron played his own game that couldn't really be compared to anyone.
If you can't play the original, might as well play the faxed version on low ink and crappy paper, at least you get a taste.
It's like asking a big man grow up idolizing Wilt Chamberlain who he'd want to play one on one. He's going to choose Shaq, not Hakeem, not Jabbar, not anyone else. Not because Shaq > Hakeem or Shaq > Jabbar, but Shaq is the closest to Wilt.

Kobe doesn't play unless it's 1 v 5 tbh so it will never happen.
I doubt it. The game is moving away from the post with all these rules changes benefiting perimeter players, and kids are trying to look pretty out in the perimeter.
Duncan will be the last of the Mohicans. Yao was supposed to take that baton, but his legs wouldn't let him.

Thanks for the video. Look at the Spurs defense, literally 3 guys on Shaq and having Bowen play one on one vs. Kobe. This pretty much was the Spurs defense vs. the Lakers from 99 all the way to 2004 because you don't want a dominant and clear #1 player like Shaq go off.
Also notice how Kobe refused to pass with three guys rotating late on him (which means that 3 of his teammates are wide opened). Classic Kobe.
