Spurs fans want Deshaun Thomas on the team.

I don't care if you have to beg or threaten Danny Ferry or whoever to take Bonner off your hands, you have to make it happen one way or another.

Spurs fans need hope, badly, people make fun of kobyz but everyone knows he's right deep down, I mean Pop is calling Rivers to ask for antidepressants advice, what else do you need to say. Spurs fans got their dream crushed in the most vicious way you can imagine and now we need something to get excited about again.

And that's Deshaun Thomas. Reminds me of the movie Enemy at the gates where Jude Law is playing a sniper who is used as a symbol to give hope to his army.

Well Spurs nation needs a sniper of their own to hope again, they need a feel good story, they need that man :

Don't worry, he can shoot a little.

Why would Bonner need to leave to keep Thomas?

You've got to be kidding. You're so far over the top about the 58th pick that it's beyond ridiculous.

I like the kid and think he could be a nice piece, but this thread is just idiotic.

I agree with this from an economic point. Hope puts fans in the seats. Go into the season with the same team, and the worse case scenario is Manu continues to play badly, and the team stumbles out of the gate. The ticket sales will plummet. Hope allows for a certain amount of failure if one believes things will get better.

Can be someone else but the roster is pretty much full and Bonner is a good candidate tbh.

This man gets it, when two weeks in Manu gets injured then what will we have to look forward to? I'm not even sure I should get the regular season league pass right now...

    Is the Roster full?

Is Neal officially back on the team? If not, Belinelli just replaced him.

So far, I got TP, Manu, Green, Kawhi, TD, Splitter, Bonner, Diaw, CoJo, Colo, Belinelli, Pendegraph and Mills. That's 13 players. 14 even if Neal plays. Blair is probably gone as well as TMac. That makes room for Baynes and Thomas.

TBH, I think the Spurs need to bring in Pietrus as backup SF and let one of the backup PGs walk (Cojo or Mills).

When this kid meets the experienced players of the NBA, he gets his packed on a regular basis.

Have the Spurs ever had a ball-dominant wing not named Manu Ginobili?

Yes! When George Gervin and Johnny Dawkins played the 2 (back in the day), Mario Ellie, Sean ****** (at times) and Vinny Del Negro.

As much as I want to see Thomas get a roster spot, I am getting a feeling that he will play in Europe this season.

We must get rid of our current unathletic stretch 4 to create room for our new undersized, unathletic stretch 4.

Thomas should be on the team, and he is playing well right now. I think he has a good chance to make the team.

    Dear RC,
Please don't allow fans to make personnel decisions. We like to pretend we are GMs, but we aren't.

Soooooooooo.. RC is obligated to grant us our whims now? Why settle for Thomas? Might as well go get Lebron, KD, Harden, LMA and Howard tbh

Cliffjumpers. Why fix something that ain't broke? Bringing back the same roster that took you within seconds of a championship isn't enough? The team was pretty damn fun to watch last year outside of that stretch when Parker sprained his ankle and they had a bit of a tailspin.

I do like what I saw from Thomas though. He'll be in training camp and we'll see if he gets signed.
