There is no almanac.

But I do have.....

12 big books on them blues
Track & Field News (magazine)...since 1970
The National Football League Encyclopedia
The History of Rock & Roll
The Best of Country and Western Music (history)
20ish books on The Middle East/Islam
30ish books on the black experience (Richard Wright, James Baldwin, Ralph Ellison etc etc)
Too many sci fi novels to count
Tons of books by...Steinbeck, Hesse, ens, Poe, Lovecraft, Mailer, Fitzgerald, Hemmingway etc etc,

Books on...

Hollywood and the Movies
Body building
Cult Flicks
Mythology
Boxing...history
Rasslin'
Tons of biographies (Dean, Waits, Dylan, Mitchum, Cash, Elvis etc etc)

Magazines

Sports betting
Football cards
Football

Now add...

20 years of playing organized football.
About 50 years of following football, track and music.
4 years of military service
3 years as a traveling salesman (health insurance)
4 jail cell nights
10 years of running the streets looking for drinks/drugs/pussy/fights
