Or was the media just glorifying how hard he works?
He's a career 45% shooter who has missed more shots (regular season and playoffs combined) than any player in history. So the media has to come up with something to make him look good. The ridiculous thing about this is that they make him look like a blue collar guy who works so hard... How may lunch pail guys do you know who are flown to work by helicopter?

Sickening. All Lakers have to be in the spotlight at all times. But Bryant is obviously worse than any other. He's completely irrelevant, yet we have to see his name on ESPN and other "news" outlets 24/7/365. Case in point: Lakers Eye LeBron and Carmelo. Is this news? Every team in the league is eyeing those two, yet there are multiple articles covering this "news." Please Mr. Bryant...just retire already.
They are news because the masses give the franchise attention. Look on the front page of the NBA forum and see how much attention the franchise gets - the "haters" account for the majority of this attention. The media caters to the masses, fault lies in the number of people giving relevancy to an irrelevant team.

Kobe is the hardest working player this game has ever seen. Thats one thing people cant deny.
Tim Duncan. you don't get called the big fundamental without putting the work in. there is no post move he cannot execute. his work ethic is what allowed him at his 37 year old TOSB state to skull Dwight in round 1

I heard its impossible to re injure a torn achilles fwiw. Don't know if that's legit. Any internet doctors heee to confirm?
You really think an achilles rupture cannot be re aggravated? It can be and just like any injury rusing back before you are recovered heightens that risk.

No karma is for people that need excuses. Youre going to need that excuse after next season.

Funny no one ever accounts the 2-3 years where he had to shoot 30 shots a game just for the lakers to stay compe ive, clock winds down pass to kobe, game on the line pass to kobe.... you guys use stats the wrong way.

complete? maybe you've heard of this thing called defense. it's sort of 50% of the game. its hard to be complete when you are entirely lacking in 50% of the game

or when Danny Green hit the game winning 3 because Kobe fell asleep and ran into his OWN man on a pick and roll
after the game Parker said they drew up that last play to pick on Kobe

Kobe's best defensive effort this year came in an exhibition game. he also had 1 game where he decided to gaurd Brandn "Nobody wants to sign me" Jennings and did well. Laker fans also ed when he had 4 blocks against Portland guarding Will ing Bartn

If you REALLY think Kobe played good D this year, you're losing touch with reality. I've probably watched more Laker games this year than you did, and defense wasn't exactly a common theme

Great shotblockers get dunked on ALL the ing time. A complete lack of defensive effort/awareness is an entirely different story though

Then how are u comparing a SG to a PF for defensive reasons?

Because both positions are required to play defense.

Sure, their roles are different, but they both have responsibilities. Tim is supposed to defend the post and protect the rim, and he had the best defensive rating, and was 3rd in blocks per game dispute his minute limitations. Kobe was subpar defensively and thats being generous
