and I think texas is the only state where you can claim self defense in defense of property.
Zimmerman didn't use a stand your ground defense. He used a regular old self defense defense.
and I think texas is the only state where you can claim self defense in defense of property.
Are you claiming you knew why Scott was and Zimmerman wasn't?
But Zimmerman was eventually charged with a crime which makes your point moot.
why the new handle Pistol Pete?![]()
Black guy shoots white kid in self defense, not guilty.
Hispanic guy shoots black kid in self defense, not guilty.
What is so hard to grasp, besides you not knowing the difference between NY and FL laws.
New handle? I'm pretty OG, been here since '06.
Right. Where have you been for the last 7 years?
Pistol Pete

Charles Barkley gets it...
CHARLES BARKLEY: Well, I agreed with the verdict. I feel sorry that young kid got killed. But they didn't have enough evidence to charge him. Something clearly went wrong that night. Clearly something went wrong. I feel bad for anybody who loses a kid, but if you looked at the case and you don't make it -- there was some racial profiling, no question about it. But something happened that changed the dynamic of that night, and I know -- that's probably not a popular opinion among most people but just looking at the evidence I agreed with the verdict.
I just feel bad because I don't like when race gets out in the media because I don't think the media has a pure heart, as I call it. There are very few people have a pure heart when it comes to race. Racism is wrong in any, shape, form -- a lot of black people are racist too. I think sometimes when people talk about racism, they say only white people are racist. There are a lot of black people who are racist. I don't like when it gets out there in the media because I don't think the media has clean hands.
MARIA BARTIROMO, CNBC: I'm glad you made that point.
BARKLEY: Obviously I feel sorry that young kid got killed but just judging by the evidence, I don't think that guy should have went to jail the rest of his life. Something happened bad that night, obviously.
BARTIROMO: I like what the juror said, they both should have walked away. And if there is a shadow of a doubt, there is a shadow of a doubt.
BARKLEY: And let me tell you, Mr. Zimmerman was wrong to pursue -- he was racial profiling. I think Trayvon Martin, God rest his soul, I think he did flip the switch and started beating the out of Mr. Zimmerman. But it was just a bad situation. And like I said, the main thing I feel bad for, it gives every black and white person who is racist a platform to vent their ignorance.
That's the thing that bothers me the most because I watched this trial closely and I watch all these people are television talking about it. A lot of people have a hidden agenda. You know, they want their racist views, whether they are white or black --
BARTIROMO: The bias comes out.
BARKLEY: The bias, it definitely comes out. It was a bad situation, we all lost. And I feel bad for his parents. You don't ever want to see anybody lose a kid. (CNBC Closing Bell, July 18, 2013)
"Something clearly went wrong that night. "
yep, bag, chicken vigilante Z profiled a young black male in a hoodie, got out of his vehicle, pursued the suspect, armed and ready to kill, and killed when the suspect stood his ground.
Sounds about right
Didn't the evidence show that Travyon profiled Zimmerman as a gay rapist? Is profiling someone as a gay rapist okay?
But the bottom line still is: Zimmerman was the aggressor. Zimmerman initiated contact with Martin, despite being told not to by the 911 operator.
Martin was innocent, and wasn't doing anything wrong before or during the contact with Zimmerman.
When you realize you're being followed, you have good reason to fear for your safety. So, when Martin realized Zimmerman was following him, any actions he took from that point on were in self defense. The court ignored this fact. Why were Zimmerman's actions in self defense but not Martin's? After all, Martin had done NOTHING to aggravate the situation with Zimmerman, it was Zimmerman who started it all.
Zimmerman didn't fear for his life, because if he had he would have kept a safe distance and allowed the police to handle the situation. Martin was the one who reacted to a perceived danger first, which the jury should have realized made his actions in self defense.
Defense against what? Being asked questions?
so you make a claim that 3 vigilante murders have occurred with black victims since Martin's death, have absolutely nothing to back that up, and then ask somebody else to do the research for you? yeah, no.
people making accusations with NOTHING to back it up per par
i stand by my claim and even made a thread on one child being killed by a vigilante a few weeks ago. if ya'll cared and were sincerely interested on why these crimes were happening, i'd be more than happy to post the links. but all i've seen in these threads since the ruling is jubilation, intellectual dishonesty and guilt from the pro zimmerman crowd.
i got the information and i'm done arguing about some overweight, kid killing, coward, pedo. if ya'll want to talk solutions, holla at me.
odd, i wasn't arguing about zimmerman. but ok
