It's the honeymoon period, and Media is carrying their water and their end of the log and setting them up for the fall if OR when it goes badly. Then they'll drag out the FT card and the coach killer card and just beat the daylights outta Howard while at the same time guffawing at us for believing what they're feeding us now. The mother ers are never wrong. I get so ing mad I could go out and Zimmerman the first newspaper box I see.
What are you talkin about pops? The media blasted him for leaving. And they do carry Kobe.

Yes, show me where Media blasted Howard and carried Kobe.

All you have to do is turn on ESPN. "Howard couldn't handle the pressure of being the next Laker great". You don't see nary a thing about anyone talking about how no one wants to play with Kobe. Not nary a thing.

Rockets need a 3&D PG that can play off the ball and be effective. IMO, trade of Asik&Lin (+maybe some assets) for Bosh&Chalmers would make both teams better, tho the Rockets more so than the Heat. Miami would get even better defensively with Asik protecting the rim, and the Rockets would get two players that fit perfectly with Harden/Parsons/Dwight.
Of course Miami doesn't make this trade and break the core since they just repeated, but maybe they would if the Spurs didn't choke like es in game 6...

That is likely because Houston Rocket games are more readily available because of Yao Ming. Although a loss is a loss and the only likely scenerio of him leaving is if a blockbuster trade had been made to mitigate the loss. I would then wonder the sobriety of anybody willing to take Jeremy Lin.
    I agree - the guy's terrible.

You don't need 2 superstars in the paint imho, just a Ryan Anderson type of PF would be enough to satisfy every need.

Lin I'm sure has a marketing impact, but they still had 300 million viewers from China even after Yao retired. If they can find a deal, he's gone.
Truth bomb. They broadcast Rockets games because they're the Rockets. The Rockets have already become a home team to them, oh no... us s, with or without Rin. They broadcast just as many Rockets games through the 11-12 season with Yao already retired and Rin still playing in NY. It wouldn't surprise me if the s annexed the H-Town someday, and then it would certainly be a great feeling for you to regain the Chinese citizenship imho.

Rockets dream of winning the championship might be even less realistic than my dream of befriending my goddess tbh. They have a good team but they will have to fight their way out of the west (through the likes of Spurs, Clippers and the revamped Mavs) which's gonna be tough, and I don't see how they would be able to challenge Miami even if they wiggled out of the west somehow. DH will tow them from the 1st round to the 2nd but can't make it any further with the current squad they have. They're still one good coach and a real leader away from being a serious contender imho, to me they're just like the 07-08 celtics minus Pierce.

I agree. Still, just a little over 9 months ago they were the 14th pick in the draft yet again. If they manage to by some way miraculously make it to the finals or ring, Presti should just end it all.

If Lin replaces Rondo as the Celtics' PG, Danny Ainge will be gunned down in the stands. So...it ain't happening. I think the rest of the league knows by now that Lin isn't a starting caliber PG in this league. It's just that he's paid like one.

& most lay people called that and predicted such and we're in turn cast down and silenced by Media. Now there is nary sign of Media as Lin crashes & burns. A gag order will be enforced as Lin disappears into the sunset.
