Just got done watching all three seasons. Season 1 was tremendous. 2 I thought was pansy and crap, three recovered but was still off. Wish and hope they get back to season 1 quality.

The second half of season two was intense. Rick and Shane fighting with all the zombies and the final farm episode. The first half of season 3 was good but the second half sucked and was nothing but filler episodes. They took the worst characters that no one cared about and killed them off and tried to sell it as if we cared.

That's fkn awesome. All we need now is Omar and Marlo to up the ante.

Didn't see that either. I really liked D'Angelo on the Wire. But something tells me the showrunners are going to use him incorrectly, just like the way they have underused Cutty/Tyrese/Chad Coleman (whatever you wanna call him).

I'm actually hoping Wood Harris (Avon) makes an appearance.

Not only that, but the characters that they added for next season are garbage. The Governor may be an intersting character in the comics (from what I've heard), but I think he is the second worst character on the show behind only the girl that sings all the time....who they also added as a main character for next season.

The Wire actor Lawrence Gilliard, Jr. has reportedly been cast as Roy Stark, a new series regular role for season four. The character is described as a "former army medic who is deeply haunted by his past."

This character is lifted from comics (he's at least referenced, iirc) and is a major character in the second walking dead novel

Tyreese punching Rick, finding something bad and bloody, being sad/angry, and going nuts with the hammer gives me hope that they're going back to cover some of the best parts of the prison arc after all.

Yep, really tired of the prison set piece. For the most successful show on cable, you'd think they would have enough budget to get more creative.

Seriously...its enough about "building up" and not delivering. I hear they will find themselves in a power plant by the end of the season, but this is my favorite show and its clearly deteriorating in quality with every progressing season.

I gave up on the series during season 2... not fully up to date on the comics, but still ahead of where the series seems to be. Is it worth getting back into?

It's entirely subjective. I was somewhat disappointed with some of the decisions made during the third season, but I still genuinely like and enjoy the show. And "Clear," an episode near the end of the third season, is in my opinion the series' best. For those reasons, I would suggest it's worth continuing to watch. That said, a lot of people here and elsewhere seem to really hate it and are actively hostile toward it.

If I remember which one Clear was, it's just a standalone ep. And yes, it was definitely the best of the series. I will say this: if you hate a certain character like 99.999% of everyone else did, you'll be happy with the finale. That being said, so much of this past season was fluff and stupid. It's still a good show, it's just moving along like old people ...slow and boring.

"Clear" is good, but "Better Angels" Episode 8 Season 2 is the sauce.
Everything was building towards this scene imo, it's excellent.

I'll watch it when it's available on torrent but I can pretty much guess what's going to happen.

- it'll start a few months after the last ep
- everything's been nice and calm and people are getting into a routine
- Rick is trying to play daddy to Crazy Carl after seeing how his dip kid is going crazy and killing random non zombies
- they're going to eventually bring back the tired governor, which will slow the show down even more
- lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of talking
- more black guys will be introduced to try and shake the fact that only one is allowed to be alive
- something crazy will happen that will make you want to watch next week's episode

on the bright side, that blonde chick is dead. the annoying one. andrea? was that her name? who gives a . she's dead hallelujah.

I'm glad that Rick got rid of that hunting rifle and is now using a assault rifle.
He can bring down more walkers with a 30 round clip. Will little bad ass Carl
pick him up a Glock 19 and dump that old revolver. At the end of last season
it looked like the walkers had found a way into the prison. It looks like the
prison is not the safest place to be after all.
