Agree. Thats why I say the Clippers are only on the hook for 1 mil/yr while we are on the hook for 9 mil/yr. There is no way anyone can say Splitter is 8 mil/yr better than Mullins. We wayyyyy over paid for him.

Splitter's % would drop like a rock if he was called upon to have a bigger role on a weaker team. Splitter's % is a product of getting few shots and being setup by teammates in the Spurs system. Splitter cannot create his own shot and is worthless anywhere away from the basket.

There is really no way that we can know this - but I strongly disagree with his percentages dropping. There are plenty of bigs on weak teams that put up MUCH better numbers than Mullens. Splitter's percentage is much higher than Mullens because he recognizes that he is not a mid-range/3pt shooter, and apparently Mullens has not figured this out (or is too weak to post at all, and resorts to acting as a medocre SG in a center's body). I think, and again I realize that there is now that we can know for sure, that Splitter could easily be an 18/10 guy on a poor team like the Bobcats.

I know that you didn't argue this, but the OP failed to consider the defense that both play. Mullens is a very poor defender, while Splitter has developed into a very strong defender (especially against the P/R). I know that stupid contracts get thrown out all the time, but there's a reason why more than one team was willing to give Splitter $9M+/yr and Mullens was only offered a deal near the league minimum.

All that may be true...but what I do know is people who live on internet forums and that is there whole means of social interaction are a scary bunch. You can see the venom spewed at people who have a different opinion than themselves. The hatred runs rampant. Oh this guy must be a troll...he doesnt know ....he lives in his mothers basement...he sucks and flips burgers for a living...ect...ect... We sign Splitter for 9 mil/yr for averaging 10 and 6 this year...and my fellow Spurs fan say that is a good deal. Clippers just signed Mullins for 2 mil and he averages 10 and 6 this year and is 5 years younger. Is this a joke?
