I was shocked when he said that quote. Duncan is much smarter, do you think mistakes like that would've happened if Duncan was playing? No! Pop is showing a huge amount of arrogance. Pop has been a great coach, and I'm thankful for the time we had him, but with this arrogance he's displayed by thinking he has far more control of the game than he does partnered with his panicking problem, I'm starting to think Pop may not be the best option anymore and it's simply time to move on.

I never had actually read Pop's defense of subbing TD out but I am not sure how much sense it makes. If Pop really doesn't believe TD has the length and speed to bother 3pt shooters on a switch he should have at least tried Tiago. Tiago switched on to Conley on a last second play in the previous series and still managed to force the miss.

sad thing is, no matter what manner the spurs lost in, you'd all spin it to Pop. after going up 3-2, Green shot 2-19 the rest of the way through. Parker went 3-12 in game 7. Tim Duncan missed a game tying layup in game 7. Kawhi and Manu both missed free throws that would have had the game and finals sealedPERIOD regardless of fluke rebounds/shots. But if you sleep better at night blaming Pop and screaming popsucker at people while talking about posters like chump for pages at a time, so be it.

You are so damn funny. On a serious note, somebody needs to tell Pop how things are done. Maybe PJ Carlesimo or Avery Johnson as his assistants can help him get back on track or smack him on the head and keep him from outcoaching himself. Pop needs to recognize his newly acquired flaws and fix them otherwise the Spurs are gonna have a hard time winning another chip.
