Steve Kerr has to be it. Brent Barry comes to mind. Danny Green is off to a heck of a start to his Spurs career. I hope he's around for a good while. Then there's Bonner. Those are all some spectacular shooters and thats only in the Timmy era

barry was solid but his mid range game was a bit inconsistent. i actually think finley was a better overall shooter, or kerr for that matter.

If its both midrange and 3point shooting (pure shooting), it's Gary Neal.

Mike Mitc is my favorite of that era when I was growing up. I guess the question is, do you mean mid-range, 3 pointers, or overall? Mitc was good from mid, but had NO 3 pt shot, similar to Del Negro, but without the hair fake. Kerr, Ellis, Person, and Elliott came to mind for me right off the bat.

    In an empty gym?

    Matt Bonner. Hands down.

The problem is when the game starts he shrinks considerably.

George Gervin shot a phenomenal FG% for a guard. In his NBA career of ten years, he averaged .511%. Those are percentages usually seen only in bigs on the front line. Not to mention the absolute artistry of many of his shots.

They used to have a trophy for the NBA player who had the most efficient shooting percentage and he won it three years in a row as I recall.
