Spurs are heavy favorites out of the west. No, the Rockets aren't good enough, their ceiling is Golden State's ceiling last season. They'll be back next finals, with a 38 year old Tim Duncan leading his team as he has done so awesomely his whole career.

There are other good teams out West who can beat you in any given series, period (OKC and Memphis). Memphis series two went to OT and the last game was close, those games could have gone either way.
Sickens me seeing people scoff Parker for being injured.
I would think the Spurs would be favorites, just not heavy favorites, and especially so if they can sign Oden and he remains injury free!
Parker traveled and double dribbled, honestly, on his miracle shot. It is karma in some weird way.
Had we won I'd watch these clips 1000 times over, now they are just torture because I know what happens after. It's like watching that amazing shot Timmy made over Shaq... or the Manu 3 pointer that would have sealed the win over the Mavs. They are all irrelevant.
Yeah Tim fifth is more important, it's a finish with a one le which is great but relatively trivial, against being with five instead of four, something that will mean the world different and would have been the greatest achievement ever in sport and would have put Tim number 1 basketball player of all time... And moreover you just can't love ice more than Tim, Tim is everything, no one could bring more pride than him, he is the most classy, the most magic, the most elegance, the most exciting, the most everything, as a sportsman.

Yeah this season could have bring hundreds of dream and amazing memories, but now those same fragments flip to being nightmares and biggest sadness.

It can be and is both.
Gervin not getting a ring doesn't matter at all. It was 30+ years ago and the league was dominated even more by superteams than it is now. Magic/Kareem, Bird's Celtics, the 76ers. etc. There was noway for Gervin/Spurs to compete in that era.
Plus, Gervin really wasn't even a transcendently great player. A great scorer, sure. But so was Alex English. Tracy McGrady.
Basically, Gervin is just nowhere near Duncan in terms of talent and production. Duncan's ring count is a lot more important, given Duncan's a contender for the five or eight greatest players of all time
