It's a big deal imo in how we perceive people. Obviously Duncan isn't your dad, but he is someone LOTS of people look up to. I wouldn't want to worship a gay man... Tim Duncan is one of your idols, Kobe is one of my idols. If Kobe came out and said he was gay I'd lose a lot of respect for him. I wouldn't consider myself particularly phobic either despite my previous statement.
As basketball fans, and as people who post on internet forums (we have a tendancy to troll), we have the right to make fun of a man for being gay... just like we have the right to make fun of a guy for choking in a big game situation.

I wouldn't be happy about it but I'm an atheist and have no religious based hatred for sexuality, generally I don't really care unless they're those super in-your-face s. But if it makes him happy, whatever, doesn't affect my life in one way so why should it bother me?

They're basketball players and you can enjoy watching them play but I don't see the point in snooping on their personal lives. Just because your a celeb or a famous athlete it doesn't mean you shouldn't be en led to your own privacy imho. It's Duncan's right to choose whether to stick his in a pussy or an asshole, the law does't protect gay marriage or sexual relationship, but it doesn't forbid it either. It's just pure arrogance and prejudice that drives the vast majority of people to discriminate against the rest who choose to live differently than they do, and they even look awkwardly at us celibates for a similar reason.

Who cares about sexuality orientation in 2013? I have no problem . Tbh I could say if there are more gays in the city then there are more women for me.
If Timmy is bisexual or not I don't care about. A lot of the greatest singers, actors, writers..etc were/are gay. Where is the problem? Tim seems to be a good man and that's the only thing I would care about.

I'm not saying Duncan is a worse human being because he is gay/bisexual, or that his accomplishments should be diminished because of it. But we have the right to make fun of him for being gay, and for essentially becoming a cuckold. Just like anyone can make fun of someone for being conservative or liberal, black or white, short or tall. You can make fun of whoever you want. It's a letdown whenever you realize your idol is not who you thought they were.
Being gay is a genetic defect, whether or not you think it's a bad thing to be gay. I don't really get bisexuals anyway, if liking men is genetic... then how can you like women too? Are there 3 different types of genes... one for sexuality, one for heterosexuality, and one for bisexuality?
