Depends, if you are a Lakerfan, then yes I would say it's a part of daily life overall. sexuality is less frowned upon in California, especially in places like LA and San Francisco so therefore it's nothing unusual over there. That's why they have no problem discussing it and are somewhat obsessed with the topic. Many Laker fans have probably experimented here or there as well. Not necessarily full on flaming but at least open and/or curious about the possibility or have actually done the deed or at least something close to it.

Cully, I am a realist and interested only in the truth. One truth is that the Heat won and many of us are disappointed. Another truth is, while you and your Laker cronies are spamming this board, you are generally and individually a funny guy. I appreciate that. One thing that has not been proven, however, is whether Timmy is gay. I really don't care if he is honestly. I don't know if you'd call that embracing it, but I don't really care. He's a great player. But the issue is, this is not a proven fact regarding his sexuality and until it is, this is defaming someone's character by placing them in a light they do not wish to be placed in. These allegations stem from the hatefulness of a scorned trying to destroy someone. If it turns out she's right, then ok but until then even you, as one of the controversy loving irritants on ST, cannot deny that the accuracy of comments coming from a scorned must be taken with a grain of salt.

You're still butthurt about Dwight leaving and you won't admit it, at least spurfans admit their team choked and they'll move on and come back next year for another run. It seems to me that the "obsession" is not unlike the Spurs fan "obsession" over Kobe in attempts to annoy the opposing fanbase to the point that they get defensive and butthurt and do things like start counter threads about it.
And if that is the main purpose, to annoy butthurt Spurs fans, it also seems to me to have worked on you.
