Super Bowl is going to be Indianapolis and Dallas tbh
Rematch of the 1971 game
Hopefully more entertaining
I can't afford (not really) all those football magazines out there right now, I did purchase my favorite. I have however peeked at all the others as far as their picks go. The consensus...
Division winners
Texans
Pats
Broncos
Ravens and Bengals...yep.
Niners and Seahawks
Falcons
Packers
Giants, Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins....yep, seen them all winning the division. No outstanding team there, all in that 9-7/10-6 world.
I have to agree, it really is hard to get an accurate read on that division. There is no clear cut favorite or cellar dweller. I do see the NFC as the best divison in football, I don't expect to see a sub 500 team there and the division le not decided until the final couple weeks.
Oh yeah..
Niners vs Broncos
The consensus Superbowl match up.

So basically, the "consensus" is that every single team that made the playoffs last year will make it again (except possibly the NFC East champion, since no pick was given). Too bad that historically it has never once happened like that. Also, statistical history clearly states that the 49ers (the SB losers) will not make it back to the SB. It's so historically accurate in the past 20 years that it's almost written in stone. "Consensus" is like picking the chalk in horse racing. Chalks only win around 30% of the time. If we went back in history and looked at the expert's "consensus" pick to win the SB every year, I would be confident that they were right 30% or less of the time.

How old were you in 1971?
I do realize you're kidding about Colts vs Cowboys, since it's real obvious neither will be in their conference le games.

I do have a magazine on football betting..Marc Lawrence ..PLAYBOOK. In the mag, we find some pro gamblers and their picks for a Superbowl matchup, the consensus....Niners vs Broncos. Now here we have the guys who are all up in trends/stats. Some totally ridiculous. Who loses after playing who in the month of....hahaha!!!!
The Niners were one bad non call from winning it all, they will be even better this season. Kap far better, Boldin will replace Crabtree. Hunter and Mannigham will be back.
Actually, the Niners were one bad call away from not making the Super Bowl at all, dumb![]()
Nobody can be this stupid, wow!
So you didn't see any of the playoff games, right?
The Niners get that call, they win the Superbowl. And they were without Hunter/Manningham.

You do know (probably not) we can do that for every single football game ever played...right?
I'l go real slow, you can do this.
All teams have to deal with bad calls, but when it comes down to a Superbowl it's about that particular game...honest. The Niners get the obvious cal, they win.
You do know the Ravens got their share of bad/missed./in their favor calls.....right? All teams do...honest!

Which only makes your whining about the Super Bowl even more meaningless....
Nobody can be this dumb, it's impossible.
Dummy, you don't compare a Superbowl to the regular season, wow!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't.... I compared it to the NFC le game, which the Niners won on a blown call.... they call PI on that and the Falcons are in the Super Bowl....
You ever play football?
Dummy, there is holding on every single play...honest!
Nobody should be this stupid, should be illegal.
Don't need to play football to know that was a blown call, tbh....
Now tell me stupid how many bad calls did the Falcons get in the regular season? How many times in that Niner game did they hold and no call was made?
Dummy go back to just...you're a got....it's all you got. You know...0...about football.
Regular season has nothing to do with it.... refs calling that obvious PI = Falcons in the Super Bowl barring a miracle, it's that simple....
As for bad calls in the Super Bowl, the Akers flop, the uncalled late hit on Flacco by Sopoaga, and Torrey Smith getting mugged by Colliver with no call stand out in my mind, tbh....
I laughed at the 49'ers losing. That call at the end was right.
Anyway, how did this get blown out of proportion from an NFC East topic to 49'ers? Answer:The NFC East is the diva division, all it needs now is Tebow to complete the set.
I'll go really slow....
It's all about who is good enought to overcome the bad calls. The Niners had their share just like they all do.
Clipper I knew you were an idiot, but had no idea you were this big an idiot. I can tell you never played the game.
Then you should probably stop whining about the Super Bowl, because the Niners weren't good "enought"....
That was an obvious holding, not even a debate.
The NFC has no real favorite or dog.
No way in you're that old.
Yeah, Colliver's hold on Smith WAS very obvious, tbh....
The Niners were on the road without their number two runner/receiver. And still managed to win the game. They were a couple fumbles away from being in the SB in 2011, they are favored to be back this season.
How's your Chargers doing asshole. Did they ever play in a Superbowl, oh yeah...NINERS KICKED THEIR ASS!!!!!!!
Meltdown
Am I supposed to be impressed that a Niners team that blatantly cheated the cap whooped Stan Humphries and Natrone Means?![]()
