Seriously, Chepo acting "professional" in the press conferences.. talking big, trying his hardest to use the most difficult words he can think of as he goes... and yet here we are, and we imagine his dumbass in the bench screaming like any other motherfo..


I hate what has happened to Chepo, in the beginning we didnt know how it worked but it worked.. they always just start ing up, Chepo has had the best team and doesn't know how to ing use it.

Oh well I still didn't expect Mexico's C- team to beat USA's A team in the final anyway...

I'm also glad we didn't make it that far, hopefully he's as good as gone.

The supplemental players may not have the experience as some of the other A-Team regulars but their play thus far makes the regulars' absence seem insignificant.

Fabian was bad, but if it wasn't for him we probably lose all the games.. IMO he's rusty and in a slump he needs to get out of.

I'm not basing my opinion on any streaks, I watched some of the Gold Cup games and what I saw was a better overall "team" than your A team.

To me, that is the gravity of Donovan's impact... He's the cog that makes his teams go, the glue that binds them together so that they play more cohesively... I've never really been a fan of his, but I have always recognized the level of his talent... one could make an argument that even at his age, and now that he's healthy, he is CONCACAF's best, most complete, player... If only Chepo were fired Carlos Vela might have a say so in that argument...

Tbh... This was Mexico's D team... Half the players that were on the squad aren't even considered stars in their respective club teams... Also, some of the younger talent was occupied in the U-20 WC...

And don't get me wrong scott, the way the US is playing right now and the way Mexico is playing right now I'm pretty sure both of the USA's B and C squads would obliterate Mexico's best fielded team... Mexico has lost their tactical iden y, and have no cohesion whatsoever...

Some of that is due to excessive variance in the make-up of the squads, some of that can also be attributed to Chepo's predictability as a coach, some of that to the experience gap between some of the mainstays (who are now too old to play) and the next generation of players... Mostly the team hasn't been infused with a belief that they can go toe-to-toe with anyone (like Mexico's Olympic Gold medal team) [that too falls on Chepo's shoulders]... Then you have the personal grudge aspect that has kept talented players such as Carlos Vela and Jonathan Dos Santos off of the squad...

La Volpe (who I disliked) was one of a few exceptions because he played and coached in Mexico... Bielsa hasn't been in Mexico in years...

I wouldn't mind Tena, though my favorite, Vucetich, is not being considered (by his own choice, I believe)...
