Didn't see the first, will not see the second.
John Cusack replaced by Adam Scott, who will play his son from the future. Currently filming in New Orleans. I was hoping that they'd do a sequel with the "Cincinnati box" plotline none of the guys wanted to talk about in the first movie. I guess the hot tub takes them to the future this time. Either way, rest of the cast is back including Chevy Chase as the repair man so should still be good.

First was pretty good tbh
What made it so good in your opinion?
The first one was ing hilarious. It wasn't an Oscar winner or anything, just a good old fashioned funny, goofy movie. It also had some nostalgic factor for us old folks that remember the 80's.
So not only was it funny, it made you think back on the good ol days, gotcha. So, is it Back To The Future, mixed with Office Space? From what I gather it's a bunch of losers who want to go back in time and make some changes.
The fact that a lot of people passed on just because of the le and missed an otherwise good movie.
I passed because of the trailer. I figured it was just another run of the mill comedy which seems to be the case.
If you like comedies, you are trippin.
Funny ass movie. There's a load of comedies that come out but HTTM had me cracking up at the theater.
Its a pretty funny flick, not really what you'd expect if you're just going by the le. I'm not a huge Adam Scott fan and I LOVE John Cusack (up to last month he was still tweeting he wanted to do it), but I'll probably still check it out.
You nailed it. I laugh at plenty of stupid . This move got a laugh maybe two from me. Not worth the time.
Was a surprisingly good movie given everyones expectations. That's really the secret, no expectations and it was a solid comedy. However, I loved the first film but without Cusak that definitely changes the chemistry.
Yeah, I was going to pass on it too because its trailer was really bad. To this day it's the only movie I have really liked that looked awful in the trailer. I don't remember how I ended up seeing it, but it's extremely funny. One of my top 3-5 comedies this last 10 years. Right off the top of my head the only somewhat recent comedies I'd put on par with it or better are Superbad and 40 Y.O. Virgin. I'd definitely take Hot Tub over Borat.
Top 3-5 comedies in the last ten years? That's a pretty bold statement. If someone is willing to go out on a limb like that, it may be worth watching after all.
Anchorman, Superbad, Hangover. Best 3 recent comedies in no particular order...
I liked Hot Tub over Anchorman and Hangover.... especially over The Hangover, though I thought Hangover I was still pretty funny. I forgot to put Little Miss Sunshine on that list of my favorite somewhat recent comedies. Not counting classics from the late 90s like Office Space and Big Lebowski on that list. I don't think Hot Tub is as good as either of those two.
The Hangover is funny until you realize its the exact same plot as Dude Where's My Car?
Borat is one of the worst movies I've ever seen but I managed to watch the whole thing. I can't stand that people find it so funny.
Bruno I walked out of 20 minutes in.
Come on man, inviting that fat black hooker to the plantation dinner was pretty funny.
Borat is up there as well...
You're an idiot. Why are you even replying to this thread? Thanks for letting us know you didn't see the first and don't plan on seeing the second, some real contributions to the overall quality of the forum there dip![]()
The Hangover would have been more memorable to me if they didn't give it 2 more movies. Seeing the last two made me dislike the first movie a bit. I've really grown to hate Ken Jeong and Zach Galifianakis.
For real, what the was the point of the following movies? same rehashed bull with the same typical, predictable outcome. I guess the public really does eat that up. rofl at this new movie Last Vegas, basically The Hangover for geezers
When Borat first came out on the Ali G show, trolling ppl in real life like that was still pretty new. Nowadays when any asshole with an iphone can do that , it's definitely nowhere near the same level of funniness.
And tbh Bruno is dog until the final five minutes, when he trolls phobic Arkansas rednecks expecting ultimate fighting but instead they have to watch two guys makeout hardcore and damn near butt each other in a caged ring as they boo and throw at them. That was funny as tbh.
No problem![]()
