There are still some relevant posters on here, you just have to wade through all the Pop/Manu bashing, which I admit gets pretty tiring when you hope to get some decent info.
I agree totally to be honest.
I still love to come here and see intelligent posts by intelligent members (like Bruno), but unfortunately, it is becoming more rare to find such information.
These little ()'s are coming out in force this is OS. I know there is always a few whiners but these threads/posts on how we need to get rid of trolls/spam are getting nearly as irritating.

The reality is that there aren't a lot of smart people like the ones that I mentioned in the beginning. That's the reality. Everyone else are a bunch of Spurs homers (Popsuckers & Manu worshipers.)
I rarely post, but there was so much irrationality I felt the need to. However it quickly became useless because there were just too many idiots. I'll probably go back to my usual lurking in the background unless there is something really interesting.

Yeah, and TD21 among others were worth reading, even Chump was funny to read, I finally got his wry sense of humor, but the idiots out there, and they know who they are, just made things way too annoying.
Yeah, I get tired pretty fast of "fans" on these forums who talk crap about certain individuals on this team and then claim they're just constructively criticizing. Please.

I trust that you'll do everything possible to assemble a championship contender team every year. I am proud of the 4 championships that this franchise has earned therefore I am nobody to ever question your decisions.
Pop is the best coach in the NBA. The man is the most humble coach in the NBA and can never go wrong with decisions. Coach Pop is a genius and is always open to different ideas and is one of the best at making adjustments during the playoffs. Pop imposes his will against other NBA coaches. He never outcoaches himself nor does he ever get outcoached. Four NBA les are a testament to his greatness.
We have the best front office in the NBA. No other franchise does a better job at recruiting free agents. This organization would not have 4 championships without our wonderful general manager in RC Buford who is the epitome of professionalism on and off the court.
Tim Duncan should be grateful that he landed in such wonderful organization. Timmy would not be the greatest power forward of all time without coach Pop. Tim Duncan would not have 4 rings without Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. Tim Duncan is also very fortunate to play along two future Hall of Famers in Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. Without Parker and Manu, Tim would not have all the individual accomplishments he has.
The Spurs have been the best organization in the NBA for the past 15 years, better than the Lakers. Thank you Spurs and I am proud of being a Spurs homer.
Well, if we're going to gripe, at least we are gripping about the right people, right?
Admittedly with how the season ended there has been a bit more trolling/cliff-jumping/ect and some of that should (hopefully) dissipate once the season starts. UnwantedTheory does have a point though, all the attention being paid to these trolls through various threads/replying to their posts/ect isn't helping get rid of them. The Ignore list is there for a reason. Its not foolproof but it will at least cut down on some of crap you will have to wade through to get to more intelligence posts/conversation.
That being said, in comparison to past offseasons on ST, it does seem this one has seen the rise of a few posters who have had a negative impact on the overall quality of the site, either through deliberate trolling attempts or outspokenness and over-zealousness. I truly appreciate what this site offers as far as the leniency on moderation and the fact they don't overreact to ignorant or moronic posts, and they do allow a wide-range of opinions to be voiced. This is the internet and people need to accepted that some trolling is going to occur.
My only criticism would be that at some point "free speech" can undermine free speech when it devolves into who can yell the loudest or in this case post the most frequently. I'm not sure its gotten to that point on ST, although it would seem it is at least starting to wandering down that path a bit. I don't want to see ST become a site dominated by whomever posts most often and uses the most racist or profane language at the cost of friendly/intelligent discussion. My two cents at least.

Believe it or not, this forum is much more mature than most.
Even TheGreatYacht, Hater, and Kobyz aren't outright trolls. They do try to substantiate their arguments at least. I mean they don't even cuss, threaten, flame, etc. Other forums are much, much worse.
Besides... it would be boring not to have them around. I've been banned from several forums for voicing my controversial opinion. It's BS. This is America after all...freedom of speech!
