ESPN's latest headline about Kobe.
Lebron Has Finally Passed Kobe In Most Popularity
I generally agree with your definition. KD is a superstar. Melo and Westbrick aren't. Rose is. J-Kidd was. A healthy Wade definitely is. That's why I laughed, filet mignon.
Can't help it if Miami in general is apathetic as . Even the first year or so with LBJ there and on the heels of The Decision, the crowd generally sucked well into the playoffs. This year was the best crowd and I don't necessarily think you can pin it on Lebron alone. It's the whole package including now Ray Allen. The rest is a combo of ESPN, clever stuff like "white hot" and "noche latina" which wasn't around for most of the Wade alpha era, it being a 2-peat etc...
Also, filet, you're using the definition of crowd turnout rather than overall fan popularity (USA and worldwide) and awareness. Duncan trails both Lebron and Wade in that.
Ginobili was at allstar levels for them in game 6 IMO
KD is nothing but Lebron's dish rag. He has settled for being what TMAC was to Kobe. He actually has the audacity to go work out with the guy he should be seeking to destroy. Wade has always been a good player but never a superstar. Kidd was never a superstar.
