Shaq + Dirk tbh, Imagine being as dominant as Shaq on the inside and from 3pt land + having post game to shoot fadeaways over anyone
defense would be average-ish but who cares
What two players could you combine to make the ultimate player? They have to play the same position
I would combine Shaq and Pau Gasol.
Unstoppable. No hack a shaq, super athletic. Only weakness would be defense.

Dirk didn't play Center. So you can't use him. You could say Dirk and Duncan. Excellent Shooting, Excellent Defense.
lebron and the truth
I don't know if that player would be as effective as either of those 2 players individually given their different styles of play.
Magic was pass-first, Wilt was shoot-first. What kind of a player would that make? Would they be a PG or a C? Athletic scorer or crafty passer? No one can be both the guy who always passes, and the guy who receives the passes to finish.
MFers he said they have to play the same position
Ding Ding Ding.
Steve Nash and Gary Payton?
Dirk + malone would be just as deadly as Shaq + Pau (or whoever else). With Dirk's skillset/mindset and Malone's physique dude would dominate the league with ease imho
why people put shaq ahead of wilt baffles me. i'll take the 50ppg 25rbg and occasionally leading the league in assists over shaq anyday. wilt + dirk would be pretty nasty. it seems you take any dominant big and add dirk/bird and you have a winner.
i didnt necessarily, but wilt and russell were those kinds of players that were ahead of the rest, easy for them to dominate. Shaq played in years where the compe ion was high all around, and he still dominated. Thats why people put shaq above them imho.
I would combine Leonard and Ginobili at the SF. Unstoppable. They stopped the Spurs from a le.
shaq dominated an era where the best center besides him was Ben Wallace tbh. The compe ion he faced in the Finals (when he won and was considered the dominant force) were Smits, old Mutombo, Todd MacCulloch, and Eric Dampier. Who were the league's best centers in the early-mid 2000's. Sabonis, Divac, Robinson, Mutombo were all pretty old. Thats why I never understood people that write off Wilt for his lack of compe ion but then hold Shaq so high up. From 92-97, Shaq struggled against the likes if Robinson/Olajuwon. In head to head matchups, they would get the better of him both in the win column and in the box score stats. Shaq started pounding on them when they aged and Robinson's body started breaking down. TOSB Wilt would hold his own against Alcindor though
Alll those guys u mentioned were good centers... in shaqs early years, yeah he struggled, what rookies and sophs dont... he started tearing ass holes apart just a few years in the league.. Divac/ Sabonis/ Smits / all were legit.
they were, but they are all TOSB when they were up against Shaquille
i wouldnt quite go with TOSB status, but aging sure.
Give Charles Barkley the physique of Shaq and keep their bodyfat in check, you would have a player capable of destroying entire teams by himself.
