Yeah no way I want Bobby Brown unless one of De Colo or Mills is gone, preferably De Colo.

More ho-hum offseason news.Report: Spurs interested in guard Bobby Brown
Written by Paul Garcia on Friday, 02 August 2013 09:00.
With one vacant spot remaining on the San Antonio Spurs' current roster, there are already many rumored candidates for the position such as Greg Oden, Deshaun Thomas, Antawn Jamison, and Mo Williams.
You can now add guard Bobby Brown to the rumored list as well as Marc Berman of the New York Post indicated Thursday.
San Antonio and Memphis are also interested in Brown, 28, who has played 113 NBA games for Minnesota, Sacramento, the Clippers and New Orleans.
Berman writes that Brown wants to play with the New York Knicks who have interest in him as well, but the Knicks are trying to lure former Spurs guard Beno Udrih right now as their main priority. Brown hasn't played in the NBA since the 2009-2010 season with the Clippers and just finished playing overseas with Siena of the Italian League.
Brown has a tentative agreement to continue playing overseas with Donguam of the Chinese Basketball Association states Berman, but he has until August 15th to sign with an NBA team before his contract is locked in with China. What's more intriguing about Brown is he's willing to play for the veteran minimum to return to the NBA and since he only has a few seasons of experience, he would only be due $880,000.
Brown is a 6'2" scoring point guard who has averaged a career 5.1 points, shot 38% from the field, and shot 31% from 3-point range in 113 total NBA games from 2008 to 2010.
Berman also points out that Brown was one of the leading scorers in the Euroleague last year where he averaged 19.3 points and 5.4 assists.
If the Spurs and Brown came to an agreement, one would have to wonder if a trade might be looming for one of the Spurs' other three backup points guards - Cory Joseph, Nando De Colo, or Patty Mills - as Brown would fill the roster with five point guards as the Spurs also have All-Star Tony Parker leading their team.Do with it what you will.
Yeah no way I want Bobby Brown unless one of De Colo or Mills is gone, preferably De Colo.
can't have enough of guards I guess....
Bobby Brown? Well, it's his prerogative...
Jesus Christ how many guards do the spurs need?![]()
The Spurs are following every little step he takes.
lol 6'2 shooting guard. Yep sounds right up the Spurs alley.
Bobby Brown? RC, don't be cruel.
I just hope he stays a new edition instead of a new Spurs addition.
Booby Brown has had a great season in Europe. Now, I don't see the need for him while Spurs have Patrick Mills. Both are the same kind of player and I'm not sold at all on Brown being better than Mills.
If Mills is traded, Bobby Brown might be a good option as 3rd string PG behind Parker and Joseph.
Bobby Brown, The King of R&B?!

Whitney Houston says no
Just because a player has a good year overseas doesn't mean he's going to succeed in the NBA. Patty Mills and Aron Baynes are walking proof of that.
Well, if we can bring him in, he'll be the best singing talent on the team to replace Jax...not to mention TP's try at rap.
Any why pray tell do we need a 3rd string PG AT ALL when we don't even have a legit 2nd string one for going on years now?
Well I've never heard of him so...
I expect to him to be on his way to San Antonio as we speak.
I do believe in Joseph.
I like Cojo too, think with another year under his belt as the definite 2nd string, he will blossom and be ready for the playoffs, he has paid his dues.
