Other articles mention the device's most likely specs and prices.

    $269 for vanilla Android + HD + LTE? That's a steal, IMO.

The main issues with 4.2 on the N7 (as with the other Nexus devices) is mainly with Bluetooth. Custom ROMs could fix the issues, but the fixes are still mainly hackjobs.

The real solution would be to wait for 4.3 to be available on the N7 (with the new N7 supposedly having 4.3, that suggests the upgrade for current Nexus devices is coming out soon as well).

Hmm, $220 for the 16GB WiFi version and $270 for the 32GB WiFi version. Not too bad.

$350 for the 32GB LTE version is a little pricey, but at least it's compatible with nearly all LTE bands available in the US. Too bad it's not compatible with the LTE bands used in most of the rest of the world.

..oh well, at least I've got 4.3 Jelly Bean flashed on my Galaxy Nexus and (old) Nexus 7 already.

^ Nope. Google has made it a point that no Nexus device would have expandable memory.

Got my Nexus 7 on Friday. Absolutely thrilled with it so far. Best in class screen + the processor is actually an underclocked Snapdragon 600 instead of the old S4. This thing is a beast, and runs everything perfectly.

Didn't think I'd ever buy a tablet. Google changed my mind with this.

I don't really use the GPS on it, so I can't speak to that. The only quirk I've had so far is with Nova Prime Launcher but I suspect it's with the coding of the launcher rather than the tablet itself. I haven't notice multi-touch issues as of yet.

So far I'm loving the tablet. Riptide GP2 is AMAZING, PS2 quality graphics.

It's on sale at microcenter for $139. Refurbished, though.

So many good games for the Nexus 7. Loving this tablet. It's usable as a computer with a bluetooth keyboard.

Nope, used it tbh. My main e-reader and I use it to surf when not near my laptop. Also good for flights to read and watch TV.

First gen?...Eh it gets pretty sluggish, but if you're using it for light activities that's fine. And I'd pay $100 max.

Yeah one of the reasons I would get a Nexus 7 would be to read comics tbh

Im currently reading GOTG on my S4 and it's .... meh

Is the 1st gen too sluggish to watch a movie ?
And if you root it and flash a custom rom, does it get less sluggish?

Reading comics, e-books, movies shouldn't be a problem. Sluggish may be too harsh...it's not as snappy as 2nd gen and tends to slow down over time, but it isn't horrible.

Yeah, I put PA on my mom's nexus last month - it's pretty snappy tbh. You cna even overclock it a bit with some kernels.
