Cory Joseph is in Toronto for the next two weeks attending the Team Canada Senior Men’s Basketball training camp as the team is set to play at the end of the month in the qualifiers for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
Joseph was asked what he learned in his first NBA Finals experience.
“It was good, a great experience," said Joseph. "Obviously every possession counts. Look at what happened in Game 6.
“We were upset. We let one slip away from our hands. We were right there in Game 6, a couple plays away [from the championship]. It is what it is, the ball falls that way sometimes. We played good, just a couple plays didn’t go our way.”
On the subject of San Antonio Spurs' teammate, Tim Duncan, and the missed bunny over Shane Battier in the final minute of Game 7, Joseph said, “Yeah, he thinks about it. He’s got a lot of other things to worry about right now of course.

Good lord they did let one slip away there, damn I hate it....... I wish they finished the job there and got #5, but hey thats life at times.
First reference to Duncan's divorce I've seen from a Spurs player.
On the subject of Duncan's shot
Worst loss in history
This one hurts
Well, we get to experience it over and over again. People will be talking about it for years.
Best way to shut that talk up is to use it as motivation, get back to the finals, and take it.
good post for number 10,000
I think Skip's wrong here. Duncan's miss prevented the spurs from having, at best maybe a 10% shot at winning. They still would have had to get a stop and score and maintain that slim lead — against the team that came up huge in the clutch in game 6. The Heat had all the momentum at that point in the game, which is why Tim had to rush the shot. It was basically the last chance to have a chance. And Lebron stepped up on the next play regardless.
I'm with Skip on a lot of issues, but he's wrong about Lebron. In game 7s, Lebron is really hard to stop.
To beat Lebron you have to win in 6.
ing clown doesn't realize that there was no need for a Game 7 if Pop and Manu hadn't shat the bed in Game 6. The Spurs should've won the championship in Game 6 but Pop and Manu tried their asses off to make sure that there was a Game 7.and some people admire that clown of Skip Bayless because he's a Spurs fan even though he barely knows about anything in sports.
I hate sports.
There shouldn't have even been a game 7. It was the end of game 6 that really ended the series.

It's going to take Pop figuring out that they can't play better small ball than the Heat and that they have to find a way to maintain their defense when the Heat go small.
So this doesn't turn into anotherGame 6
thread.
I am excited about Cory Joseph's development next year. He's been willing to put in the work to improve his game so I'm excited to see how it translates in his 3rd season.
I'm paraphrasing here but after a bad loss, Kobe once said, "A bad loss is like taking a . You don't sit there and let it smell up the place, you've got to flush it down and move on."

I have a feeling Cory is going to continue to mature as a defender and facilitator this season; here's to hoping he finally becomes that true backup PG we've been missing the past couple seasons.
Quit crying about game 6 people..
Just a little correction, Canada's NT will play the qualifiers to the 2014 world cup that Spain will host.
skip. bandwagoning mother er,. His ass said the spurs were gonna lose to the lakers and the warriors when down 2-1 and the grizz. then we go to the finals and he acts like he was always there. guy has the nerve to say "my spurs" when talking about them. him
Tony Cory Nando All our PGs? It doesn't sound good Fuc#### international tournaments![]()
Yeah the article had Kris Joseph as his brother before too. Canada is still a long-shot for the Olympics but he's been playing great in the training camp.
tb honest he was no different than a variety of posters on ST before during and after the Lakers and Warriors series.
I freely admit I thought it was over after Game 2 against the Warriors. It is what it is. Fans go off the deep end when their emotions take control, and I assume, or presume Bayless really does have genuine affinity for this team. It can't ALL be for show...can it...?
that's the point. He's a cliffdiver.
Maybe he actually posts here using various troll accounts?
Joseph can be a great backup if he can stay aggressive, make plays, and defend. He doesn't turn the ball over much.
