Point exactly. What sucks is that Thread is actually an intelligent dude who dumbs himself down for the forum. When I first started posting here, I would actually come to talk basketball. Then there was the return of Thread/culburn and while he does bring some life/character to the forum, he only talks basketball about a quarter of the time. Then Kool got unpinked and starting spamming the forum with threads. Then Arnold Toht became a 1 man Thread tribute band. Now we're here.

I agree wholeheartedly. This forum gets spammed with unnecessary, ridiculous, illogical, irrational, and offensive threads everyday. Its very unbearable to post here when you see repe ive posts. This is like a place where all future lost teenagers who will do nothing with themselves go to post their anger.
The most annoying things are "Tbh, cucked, 6". Others are having the same arguments and same threads. made about the same thing that goes off topic about something else.
This place has a large base of posters who happen to be insufferable. I'm guessing many just watch..and don't post much.

If you don't have anything of value to say, stop wasting your time creating needless threads and post padding. The name calling makes this forum even more childish. Instead of having a logical well versed conversation, people hurl obscenities without reason.
This is the reason moderators were created. When choosing the RIGHT moderators, it can create a fluid atmosphere and environment for much more. You also need individuals who have substantial basketball knowledge and maturity to share that knowledge.

I think a message board is supposed to be some type of place like a lounge bar where people can have fun together. As much as I appreciate decent basketball discussion, I don't think we should make it a requirement and impose it on everyone. Some posters only make very brief posts (like my bro MJ) but they still bring the goods imho. However, it is really exasperating when you see someone keeps dropping meaningless posts with few words in each of them one after another as though they get rewarded a deal of money for every little increase of their post count.
Therefore, like my friend Cully wrote in his novel "return to vegas", you the reader choose what to read and what not to. If you don't like one certain poster, or posters, you can simply put them on ingore-list so they won't ever appear again to pollute your eyes. I've never put anyone on ignore though. I'm a believer of "diversity" and I can pretty much live with things I don't like (which's kinda like a very basic survival skill when you're living under the commies dictatorship, imho). They're all members of the ST family and I can generously treat them like my naughty nephews and nieces
