Didn't see much conflict between these two teams tbh. The lakers pretty much dominated the beginning of 21st century, while the Spurs managed to win a championship every other year from 03-07, with the Lakers being an elevator between playoffs and the lottery zone. The Lakers came back again to win another 2 rings in a row after 08, while the Spurs were bouncing between WCF and first round. And now the Spurs are back atop the west with the fresh bloods like Kawhi, Splitter, Danny Green and many others, while the Lakers will be struggling to keep their head above water for years to come.
Mavs-Spurs rivalry is much more classic imho, both were perennial contenders throughout the 2000s and the Dirk-Duncan matchups have to be the most memorable moments of all time
