Sigh... there goes the Aussie connections.

Philadelphia has offered its head coaching job to Spurs assistant Brett Brown and the sides are discussing contract, league sources tell Y!
Sigh... there goes the Aussie connections.
Then who replaces him, Oberto, P.J., ???
Keith Bogans.
I don't think he will do that well as an HC tbh, then again it will be hard to tell if he does a decent job with that roster...
The league hates the Spurs but the league loves the Spurs.
Bring back PJ![]()
This has so much truth to it.
oh man i didn't think about that being the end of the aussie connection. that does suck. it would be cool for the spurs to get another national league team coach.
didn't scottie pippen want to go into coaching? he could be a coach with recruitability factor. who wouldn't want to learn from jordans right hand man?
Pop/Spurs giving the SL coaching spot to Udoka might be a sign they are ready to give him a bigger role next season. They also have have Jim Boylen who might have been promised a lead assistant coach job to leave Indiana.
I'm not sure Spurs will sign another coach. They could go with Boylen, Udoka, Engeland and Forcier.
I'm not sure Engelland wants to be on the bench.
My money is on the Spurs hiring another veteran coach from somewhere else.

Word in coaching circles is some Brett Brown associates urging him not to take Philly job in part because Year 1 is guaranteed 60+ losses
Interesting paradox.
What about AJ?
The league and the individual team's front offices are two different things.
Are they really that bad??
Sean Marks has been part of the coaching staff too, and could be due a promotion if this works out for Brett...
I thought the same thing too.
I HOPE BRETT WORKS A DEAL TO TAKE PATTY MILLS WITH HIM.
Look at their roster. Turner,Thadeus Young and Hawes are their best veterans. Other than that they have Noel, who wont be ready untill December and group of scrubs.
they have Jason Richardson. But damn that team sucks. Don't think they'll get 15 wins. It will be a nice tanking season with them, Orlando, Utah and Phoenix.
