Best of luck to him. Bad team but he gets 4 years guaranteed.

Too bad they gutted the roster. But they were in no man's land. They are playing for #1 in a deep draft next year.
I think that's what we're all hoping.
Happy tanking.
You are right. I just recalled when he came to philly with the team, he was sitting with all the coaching staff and traveling with the team. But apparently since getting his promotion in September, he's moved closer toward an office than the court.
Sad to see another coach go but I wish him the best.
best of luck to Brett, too bad we couldn't have won that friggin championship before sending these guys off, but that's life.
however, it's also good for Spurs to get some fresh voices to the mix as well, especially when you haven't won in 6 years.
After such devastating season we have a devastating off season ...
dude you throw the ball right to them why scout you
Are you kidding? If he goes out there with that roster and tries to win as many games as possible, they're still the worst team in the league by quite a bit. When the team is that bad, you don't have to worry about trying to tank. Which actually makes it less depressing, IMO, than trying to coach a team that's capable of being half decent and having to throw the games.
So work on seeing if you can turn Evan Turner around from the overwhelming bust he was turning into, throw a bunch of kids out on the court and try to teach them to play together, and in general, try to keep guys focused on improving and playing smart instead of the kind of shameless gunning you often see on terrible teams.
When you throw in fact that there appears to be a solid GM in charge plus the near-certain chance of getting a top-5 pick next year in a 5-player draft that's supposed to be the draft of a decade, and I can see why it would actually be a pretty attractive job.
