Kobe quit three times withou t a dominant big
30 pts/20 rebounds a game between Bynum and Gasol
Gasol shooting damn near 60% in the post
Kobe's career high is 46%
"better than MJ" Kobe Bryant missing the playoffs and choking 3-1 series leads before Pau came to town![]()

Lakers aren't getting next summer
lol no one wants to play with Kobe
lol biggest FA signing in the Kobe era being Ron Artest
lol one of the best Cs in the league turned down 30 million dollars to get away from kobe
lol begging that C to stay then claiming he isn't when he shat on your franchise
lol irrelevant til kobe retires because he refuses to take a paycut
do you know how the salary cap works?
There's no legitimate argument for the comparison tbh. If there was we'd see more Lakerfan calling Kobe over MJ but until a player can lead a team to two 3peats and dominate the league like MJ did without significant help (meaning he captures other accolades along the way for scoring, defense and such), there will never be a real player comparison between MJ and anyone. Lebron has the chance, but he might have hurt that by going to Miami. I doubt he gives a . Some Lakerfans know this which is why they hate Lebron so much. They know Lebron is the air apparent that Kobe couldn't be regardless how the media tried to make it so. Shaq was both the giver and the taker in that circus, since he gave Kobe a 3peat and took the Finals MVPs that Kobe so desperately needed in order to stay on the path. No 2nd string is going to be GOAT. It's not even debatable.
If Scotty Pippen grabbed a couple Finals MVPs after playing with MJ, he'd still not be the GOAT.
If Kobe came before MJ he wouldn't play the same way, are you going to deny that he borrowed a lot of MJ? And also he got a lot from Hakeem that MJ himself learned from, the dreamshake, the footwork in the post, Kirby didn't invent those things himself. He saw and he emulated them. He goes to Hakeem every now and then to improve his post game, a year ago he added Dirk's fadeaway to his arsenal.

All time greats don't quit on their team.

Unless they want to take a couple of years off to be a bad baseball player . . .
ethered
at you guys looking at stats for the first 10 seasons
the reason Kobe's the GOAT is because of his longevity. he'll still be putting up 25/5/5 in his 20th season while MJ couldn't do by his 15th
monkeyballer james will be putting up 15/8/5 by the time he reaches Kobe's mileage
Why must "Laker fans" even attempt to argue Kobe as GOAT?With their similar styles, it's just too easy to see that MJ was a cut above whether you look at stats or just from having watched both play. Second greatest SG of all time is nothing to be sneezed at.
Sure, I get that Laker fans want their guy to be the best but why not argue for Magic or Kareem instead? At least there you have a contrast in styles, etc that creates a good case of debate.
Everyone would forget who Kirby was after game one of MJ's career, tbqh....
If Kobe came in at the same time as Jordan, would he be considered = Drexler or < Drexler?
But rings, Finals MVPs, regular season MVPs, and other accolades do, and MJ has Kobe beat in every possible way
Kobe's playoff record without an All-Star big man:
Missed playoffs
Choked 3-1 series lead & quit on his teamPERIOD
Shat on in 5 games
It's like you don't realize that Jordan played in college while Kobe was drafted at 17, and MJ decided to play baseball for two years in his prime. lol re ed Kobe moppers
That's why Jerry West > Jordan and became the logo, he came before Jordan.
If Kobe came before Jordan, then the Blazers, Suns, Rockets would have won les, the Jazz would have won 2, and the Lakers would have won in 91.
