K.Dot is getting insanely overrated tbh.... that verse wasn't even that good, people are acting like he put the game on blast when in reality, he was just saying he wants to be better than the rappers he's friends with....
I mean, he's better than most of the mainstream rappers out right now, but that's like being the world's tallest midget....
prodigy from mobb deep's tweet for you mobb deep stans:
PRODIGY MOBBDEEP ✔ @PRODIGYMOBBDEEP
u aint LIT. u aint INFAMOUS. sit yo dumb ass down... @kendricklamar verse is dope. all u thirsty for fame ass s. Lol
overrated? stop it. 2chainz is overrated.
Kendrick is getting to be overrated too.
explain.
i've been on 2 of the biggest hip hop sites today and for some reason ST is the only one not feeling this verse/track..hmmm i wonder why???
Yeah he is better than a lot of what's out there like CN said, but that was hardly a diss verse. And people tweeting reactions of them passed out on the floor like he owned somebody is thw definition of overrated. The rap game sucks and like I said going after drake and soft s is no accomplishment, while excluding em and others he acknowledges he's not the best.
nobody said it was a diss except the elitists hipsters. its a breath of fresh air to see one of the best rappers call out his peers because the genre is ty as right now. hip hop is rooted on compe ion and this track brings that back. pusha t is a soft ? lol now i can tell you don't know wtf you're talking about.
what did j cole say in his song, "long live ya idols, may they never be your rivals" he didn't go after em, jay or nas because they don't represent the new generation of hip hop. what's the point in going after the legends who already cemented their stake in hip hop history?
Lol he didn't go after em or any of those because they would lyrically destroy him. " Constructive criticism guys so we can all be better". Christ.
VOTY?
almost
Dude the overreaction this is getting is re ed. People are acting like they just heard Ether for the first time.
not much has changed.
best verse of the thread imo
okay hip hop elitist. again, i can only take a few ST posters opinion of hip hop serious.
Not liking every soft bubblegum rapper who gets radio spins isn't "elitist," it's just called having good taste....
Tbh, the whole point of hip-hop is good beats and great rhymes that require technical skill.... most of the rappers that get airplay nowadays (i.e. Drake, Wale, Rick Ross, etc.) only have good production and lack any substance whatsoever....
jesus christ
ooookaayy thats not the whole point of hip hop but thats besides the point and kdot makes music with substance and he is telling his peers to step it up. no subliminal disses, he named names and said he was the king of NY, the birthplace of hip hop. bold claims if you ask me.
welp, first rapper to respond is joell ortiz and he went in
thank you king kendrick for motivating these s!
