NBA star J.R. Smith spent some of the $24 million he scored in a four-year deal with the New York Knicks on a flashy new armored truck. Smith, who’s recovering after surgery on his left knee in the off-season, rolled up to Meatpacking District restaurant Catch on Thursday night in a Gurkha F5, which is made by Toronto-based Terradyne Armored Vehicles and used by police and the military. Smith parked the oversize truck, worth about $450,000, on the street while he dined inside.![]()

is afraid his bricks will bounce back in his direction
You've never driven in NY before. It's a war zone out there on those lanes.
because he's a re ed-ass scrub
Technically, he didn't spend any of the 24 mil he just signed for, you don't get paid up front.
depends actually
Good investment for him imho. safety is priceless, not to say the car will also save him some friends as well. But... is it water-proof and amphibious? Don't think so. If rushes off a bridge and dives into the Hudson River it still kills imho, stupid s wouldn't think to such a deep extent though
actually not a bad investment, only if he's gonna use it in emergency situations though.
Vince Young would be proud of such a purchase.
Just pure domination from lefty lately, tbh.
lol at friend killer. it certainly looks like a bank armored van. wouldn't that be a robbers' target?
People get paid a different way, but usually the checks start coming in during the season, when they actually play the games and the money comes in. Of course it wouldn't be a factor for the two richest franchises in the Knicks and the Lakers.
