I knew I created this thread a long time ago. Took a bit of searching to find it.
I've been itching for a 2D RPG for a while and as I've never played a 2D Final Fantasy series, must as well start there. I know about Chrono Trigger, Secret of Evermore, Earthbound etc but I wanted a FF series so I started to play Final Fantasy VI for the SNES. Whoa! The mode 7 graphics in the beginning with the robots walking just blew me away as well as the music (~3:42 in the video). So far I'm about 2 hrs in.

Still addicted to BF3. Haven't picked up my xbox since it came out, which is surprising because I was a handful away from 50000 AP and I was previously bent on getting there.
It has also made me abandon Deus Ex, Shogun Total War II, and Netflix dvd's. I've had the same 2 dvd's on my counter for about a month and a half.
I saw Neverwinter Nights on GOG for $5 and I've had the itch to play a D&D game for a while, so I'm playing that.
XCOM again, this time on classic with all the 2nd wave options, it's unpossibles, I want to cry

still playing skyrim. just wandering around hitting every location i can while i lvl to 78 to beat a legendary dragon. it's crazy what places you discover that have absolutely nothing to do with the storyline.
sitting at 52 right now and my leveling is creeping along...it's the last steam achievement i need so it's kind of a carrot on a stick feeling.
Theres a reason it's free.
You playing on PC? If so you mod the out of it yet? If not, your sitting on basically a brand new game with the amounts of mods available.
*Edit* Nevermind, I see the reference to Steam.. what mods you running?
