and of the states New York has the highest gun deaths per capita and has extremely tough gun laws. DC has even tougher gun laws and has the highest deaths per capita in the country (I know, it's not a state)

Most of what I've read suggests he's mentally ill. If he was racially motivated, it is suprising that a black woman was able to convince him to surrender. In interviews with her, she doesn't mention any racial angle.

i am always intrigued when these white men shoot up these schools and public places, people are so quick to blame it on a mental illness. when non whites commit crimes, the mental illness excuse is never brought up.
anyways, i applaud every day heroes like charles ramsey and antoinette tuff(the woman who saved those kids). when lives are at stake and there is actual risk of harm going on, we find a way to step in and help. true heroes.

Murderers were arrested because their crime is illegal according to the law.
